Cheektowaga & Diamonds were a Hattrick club based in Cheektowaga, New York, USA that plays in USA VI.183. They were owned by Jason Stein and were managed by Ruben Nobre. Their home field was located at the spacious Cheektowaga Dome. The 12,000 seat indoor arena is located on the grounds of the Cheektowaga Central School District. On November 23, 2008, the team folded following a 6-2 defeat.

Cheektowaga & Diamonds takes its name from English conference squad Rushden & Diamonds.

About the Owner

Jason Stein is a recent graduate of the University at Buffalo's Graduate School of Education. He holds a BA and MA in History from the same institution. An awesome Social Studies teacher, Mr. Stein is currently on the hunt for a position in that same vocation. He also is noted for being perhaps the greatest person to have ever lived. He also is the co-editor of the "National Journal of Truth," a campus newspaper that contains more truth than any of the other rags of lies there. He took over the talent-bereft team on June 7, 2008. He then folded the operation on November 23rd of that same year.

Franchise Struggles

Cheektowaga & Diamonds were placed in a division that was far too superior for their lack of talent. Seeing this, Mr. Stein decided to gut the roster and replace everyone with players under the age of 21. As of September 12, 2008, the squad has only one player over the age of 20. The team has only managed to win one game, and has only drawn even once during a domestic friendly.

After a 4-0 loss to Latvian squad SK GVJ on July 16, 2008, the Diamonds fired coach Edward Faust and replaced him with Portugal's Ruben Nobre.

The Diamonds relegated from Level 5 to Level 6 following a first season that featured the team recording 0 points for the season.

Franchise Firsts

Cheektowaga & Diamonds made their debut in an international away friendly against Spanish squad Ciudad Real 2006 on June 11, 2008. The far superior Spanish team unloaded their frustrations on the Diamonds by a score of 9-0

Their first cup match was played on June 19, 2008, with the Diamonds falling 5-0 to Fuquay FC.

On June 23, 2008, Clifford Sheehan registered Cheektowaga's first goal in an 11-1 embarassment against Demolition FC.

On June 26, 2008, Cheektowaga registered its first draw and first shutout in a 0-0 draw in a friendly against Greenspoint.

On July 30, 2008, Cheektowaga won its first match on a trip to Costa Rica. The 5-0 victory over Astra Rocket created a wild, frenzied celebration in Cheektowaga. Heavy intoxication, multiple arrests, looting, and several women being impregnated resulted. The final tally saw 23 arrested, 4 dead, and 1 giant plastic kielbasa consumed.

On October 8, 2008, the squad won its first Cup match. The 9-0 victory over Connecticut All-Stars was the largest margin of victory in club history at that point, and was the first victory in a match that was not a friendly.

On October 27, 2008, the Diamonds recorded their first ever league win in their second season of play. The 3-2 road victory over Tibertotti was celebrated by five drunk Mexican guys drinking tequila and firing random six shooters.
