Robmasters

From Hattrick

Robmasters is a Swedish club managed by artie and playing in III.37.

History

After having been on the waiting list for approximately three months, Robmasters saw the daylight on July 8th, 2003. This was right after the end of season 19 which meant that Robmasters had to wait even longer for the first league game to take place. The coach artie felt that stamina was the most important skill and immediately chose that as training method - clueless of the negative impact on the form. After reading the rules he managed to make another brilliant choice when deciding that his player needed to improve their passing skills, and trained that instead for quite a few weeks.

At this time, it was possible to start playing in division VI or VII. Some would say that Robmasters was lucky to be placed in VI, but others strongly disagrees. While other teams had easy first seasons with many victories and happy supporters, Robmasters struggled trough season 20, managing to take an excellent 6th place by tactical manouvres and some luck. The supporters, however, didn't find anything remarkable with this first season and left the team in hordes.

About one season later, Robmasters finally managed to turn the situation around. After reading on the conference, artie realised the importance of the right training. Defence training was at the time concidered as the most profitable traning method economically and therefore successful from a long-term point-of-wiev. Robmasters bought some new defenders, but unfortunately artie had missed the part about the players should be young when they're getting trained. A couple of 23 and 26 year-olds were trained - of course somewhat slowly. Fortunately the other defenders were better training objects and among them were Tobias Gustavsson and Anders Börjesson, who would remain in the club for a very long period of time. The second season went better than the first, but the supporters still didn't like Robmasters, now for playing with many defenders and thus scoring few goals. Robmasters made it to a 4th place in VI.872 this season and one of the teams in their series who managed to advance to division V was Mickes fetton, who is one of Robmasters favourite competitiors and analysists through all time. Being able to respond to his press announcmentes was one of the major reasons why manager artie bought the service Supporter.

Season 22 was supposed to be like the previous one, with long-term defence training and a mid-position in the series. However, the results turned out to be better than anticipated and at the end of the season, Robmasters was fighting for the second place with IFK Lilleman, behind impossible Singhsingh. Even though Robmasters had planned to stay one more season in VI.872, we couldn't stand to see our archrival Lilleman be promoted to division V and wanted to take their place instead. In a decisive game against Lilleman, Robmasters bought a new midfielder, played MOTS - and lost 1-0. The season was ruined and artie was devestated. The most pleasant thing with this season was the team Hasslö Goif which came on 4th place this season and has supported us longest.

Season 23 was Robmaster's most successful season yet. The team won every single game even though training defence and playing such tactics as 5-3-2 and 4-4-2. Those 14 wins are together with three more, still Robmaster's longest win streak in the history of the club. After four seasons in division VI, Robmasters was finally promoted to division V. In V.627 the team faced competitors like Super Reds BK, Gratis FF and Barca XXX. Robmasters also started to train attack because the defence was good enough. With a strong defence, a decent midfield and a very weak attack, Robmasters managed to not get denoted during a couple of seasons. When the attack grew stronger, the team performed better and season 27, Robmasters was placed second. Season 28 they had the strongest team and had the chance to win the series and be promoted to division IV, but instead they made the long-term decision to rejuvenate the team and to start training midfield. Once again the team had to fight for their place in the series, but at this time the player material was good enough to advance high as the midfield grew better. Season 29 was just a long wait for season 30, when Robmasters won division V and their qualification game. Season 31 they won division IV.77 and was promoted to III.37 where they play today.
