7000 fans braved the pouring rain at Victoria Stadium. Victoria had chosen a strategic 4-4-2 formation. Lineup: Kong-Yaw - Dong-Sung, Hoang-Huy, Hoang-Khoi, Li-xi - Chih-Cheng, Choon-Ann, Kwong, Kwang-Su - Zu-bin, Xue-Liang.

A 4-5-1 alignment was the formation of choice for Mathematics. The following players took the field: Hengjie - Chong Boon, Kościółek, Pagkalos, Thien Hu - Juh shiun, Xiaoping, Chong Wai, Va'aknin, Yue Shun - Kwong.

Ouyang Kong-Yaw sent the corner kick right to Wang Hoang-Khoi who headed it sharply past the keeper. 1-0! In the game's 36th minute the visitors levelled to 1 - 1 as Huang Xiaoping struck home on a bar rebound, following a shot from the right. 1 - 1 was the halftime score. This half belonged to Mathematics, who controlled the ball 72 percent of the time.

Mathematics's Lin Yue Shun gave the visitors a 1 - 2 lead in the 54th minute with a superb strike from the right. Victoria's Chai Kwang-Su was shown a yellow card after 60 minutes for slicing down an opponent. Yehoshua Va'aknin increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley shot away on a pass from the right. 1 - 3. The home crowd was not impressed when Yu Kwong came in from the right, shooting hard to score in the 66th minute. Mathematics were now up 1 - 4. The game was characterized by rough play and many physical challenges on the wet field, but Huang Xiaoping showed great heart and had a good game. Song Thien Hu increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley shot away on a pass from the right. 1 - 5. At this point in the game, defending their lead became the main priority for Mathematics. Mathematics held the ball, with a clear 83 percent of possession.

The most dominating Victoria player was without a doubt Yin Dong-Sung. However, Hao Zu-bin made a disastrous appearance. Mathematics's top performer was clearly Zhang Juh shiun. Omiros Pagkalos turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 1 - 5.
