For their match strategy, Mathematics had decided to use their ability to counter-attack whenever possible. Villages were relying
on their ability to counter-attack. Jens Marfia gave the visitors the lead in the 6th minute with 0 - 1. The goal was scored from
the penalty spot after a handball call in the penalty area. 13 minutes into the match, the speedy Rinalds Grodums easily outpaced
Wilhelm Kościółek to knock in the 0-2 goal. A surprising free kick routine in the 17th minute nearly resulted in another goal for
the visitors, but the ball went just a little wide, leaving the strikers offside. In the 28th minute, a phenomenal play on the
left side freed Rauls Vaseris, of Villages, to dash through and score another goal for the visitors. The score was then 0 - 3. At
this point in the game, defending their lead became the main priority for Villages. A counterattack by Villages in the 31st
minute could have resulted in a goal, but Mihaits Eniņš, coming in on the left, couldn't get the shot off. The referee showed
Villages's Rauls Vaseris the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Unfortunately for Mathematics, Omiros Pagkalos was
injured when the game became more physical, and he had to leave the field. Liu Huai yong replaced him. A counterattack by
Mathematics in the 38th minute could have resulted in a goal, but Zhang Juh shiun, coming in on the left, couldn't get the shot
off. 0 - 3 was the halftime score. This half belonged to Villages, who controlled the ball 68 percent of the time.
In the 55th minute, Villages nearly put themselves up another goal after Rauls Vaseris came through on the left. Fortunately for
the home crowd, the keeper made the save. The home crowd cheered when, in the 72nd minute, Rauls Vaseris's charge up the middle
resulted in the keeper making one of his best saves of the day. An exhausted Rauls Vaseris had trouble controlling the ball and
in the 83rd minute lost it to Mathematics, but Lin Yue Shun couldn't take advantage of the error. 87 minutes into the game
Mathematics managed a counterattack, but Ole Karkov took a soft shot from the left flank that was easy prey for the alert keeper.
In the 88th minute, Mathematics's Huang Xiaoping received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. The home crowd
cheered when, in the 89th minute, Rinalds Grodums's charge up the middle resulted in the keeper making one of his best saves of
the day. Villages held the ball, with a clear 78 percent of possession.
