his Massalia the lead with 1 - 0, as he successfully challenged the guests' central defenders, then placed the ball unreachably
at the keeper's right post. Massalia added another goal to their lead as Endre Szőke struck home the 2 - 0 goal after an attack
from the left set him up unmarked in front of the keeper. Confident in their lead, Massalia decided to play a more defensive game
at this point. The corner kick from Harijs Sorokins set Marijn Joosten up perfectly, as he soared to meet the ball, heading it in
for 3-0. A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Massalia's Günter Platzer putting the lead up to 4 - 0. In the 38th
minute of the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as Günter Platzer dashed through, knocking home 5 - 0
for Massalia. Massalia's Javier Cabanyes was delighted to score the 6 - 0 goal after he saw his shot go between the legs of the
advancing goalkeeper and into the net, following some good attacking movement on the right wing in the 40th minute. 6 - 0 was the
score after the first half. This half belonged to Massalia, who controlled the ball 93 percent of the time.
