Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 287 to [DDT] 新數皇大球場. Mathematics had chosen a strategic 5-3-2 formation. The following players had been chosen: Salonpuro - Yue Shun, Chong Boon, Xiaoping, Pagkalos, Thien Hu - Juh shiun, Chong Wai, Guan Hee - Li Seng, Chi hong.

UCECO decided to use a 3-4-3 set up. Lineup: Kriss - Fürstenhof, Stãnica, Simmonds - Palermo, Caes, Morgado, Viškints - Bryant, Heng Hong, Grundmo.

For their match strategy, Mathematics had decided to use their ability to counter-attack whenever possible. UCECO used their ability to concentrate their attacks in the middle of the pitch, rather than on the wings. Samu-Pekka Salonpuro looked great in the 3rd minute after stopping a shot by the visitors' John Simmonds. The counterattacks of Mathematics were deadly and 14 minutes into the game, Li Guan Hee got a long pass from the right flank, making 1 - 0. In the game's 30th minute, Mathematics's Yang Chi hong fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee booked Yang Chi hong for diving. The visitors kept the pressure on to tie the game when, in the 31st minute, Seymour Bryant found himself alone with the keeper. Samu-Pekka Salonpuro made a great block, though. In the 32nd minute, the visitors could have scored the tying goal after Seymour Bryant came through the middle, but his kick went wide. UCECO's John Simmonds refused to leave the field after injuring his achilles tendon in the 37th minute. UCECO's right side looked dangerous in the 38th minute, but Samu-Pekka Salonpuro made a good save on Sergiu Stãnica's hard shot to the top corner. It was 1 - 0 at the break. The forty-five minutes were dominated by UCECO, with an impressive 82 percent possession of the ball.

Some brilliant football from the visitors' right wing resulted in a 58th minute levelling of score as UCECO's João Manuel Morgado put the ball in the net for 1 - 1. A mistake by the home side's central defence in the 82nd minute allowed Wilhelm Fürstenhof to score the 1 - 2 goal for UCECO. Unsportsmanlike behaviour by Yang Chi hong rendered him his second booking of the match, and Mathematics had to finish the game with a reduced squad. The visitors' João Manuel Morgado took advantage of an error due to a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and central backs in the 87th minute. 1 - 3 for UCECO. In the 88th minute a very unfortunate collision in the home team's penalty area led to Mathematics's Li Guan Hee being carried off the pitch and replaced by Chen Li Huei. Mathematics almost scored after a counterattack in the 89th minute, but Song Thien Hu took a shot from the left that landed harmlessly in the side of the net. UCECO, bringing their ball possession to 83 percent, dominated the battle.

Mathematics's top performer was clearly Samu-Pekka Salonpuro. Chen Li Huei on the other hand, had a terrible day. UCECO's top performer was clearly João Manuel Morgado. On the other hand, Andreas Grundmo's play was disheartening. The match ends 1 - 3.
