Arena: De Hout
Clouds darkened the skies at De Hout as 3449 spectators turned up for the match. Boss started off with a 3-4-3 lineup. The following players had been chosen: Caicedo - Schierbeek, van Zuilen, Styopin - Crombach, Flemming, Doronin, Sukhumratanaporn - Celestino, Flähmig, Boerkamp.
Mathematics had chosen a strategic 4-5-1 formation. The following players took the field: Hanen - Chong Boon, Thien Hu,
Kościółek, Pallarès - Juh shiun, Va'aknin, Anderson, Capitaine, Yue Shun - Baitieri.
Today, Mathematics's strategy involved concentrating on the flanks for their attacks. Making his way up the middle in the 7th
minute, Illarion Doronin almost managed to squeeze a goal past the visitors' keeper, but the alert Song Hanen blocked it to keep
the score level. Boss were very close to putting themselves one up in the 11th minute as Erdenne Flemming got through on the
left, but failing in concentration, he shot the ball wide. Slack defending gave Boss a chance to take the lead in the 13th
minute, but Illarion Doronin's cross from the left flank was fumbled in front of the goal and easily dealt with by the
opposition. Boss broke through on the left in the 21st minute, with Santiago Celestino firing at an acute angle to give the home
side a 1 - 0 lead. There was a bit of a mixup on the field as Boss found themselves out of position and their organization level
dropped to passable. Caspar van Zuilen could have put Boss up one more, but he fired into the side netting after breaking free on
the left in the 30th minute. Halftime score was 1 - 0. Boss dictated play, as they maintained 68 percent of possession.
A review of the gameplan helped Boss get back to a solid organization. Cheers filled the stadium as Erik Flähmig broke through
the visitors' central defence to put away the 2 - 0 goal for Boss. Cheers filled the stadium as Sophon Sukhumratanaporn broke
through the visitors' central defence to put away the 3 - 0 goal for Boss. Boss seemed a little tentative in their play as their
organization fell to passable. Boss put themselves up 4 - 0 when Erik Flähmig broke through on the right, leaving the entire
defensive box behind him. In the game's 85th minute Boss's Dé Boerkamp limped slightly after a late challenge, but he was able to
continue. The forty-five minutes were dominated by Boss, with an impressive 69 percent possession of the ball.
Most important Boss player was Erdenne Flemming. Dé Boerkamp was a disappointment, however. Mathematics's top performer was
clearly Zhang Juh shiun. Song Hanen turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 4 - 0.
