Arena: [DDT] 新數皇大球場

Crowd: 1524 Image:Weather2 new.gif

Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 1524 to [DDT] 新數皇大球場. Mathematics decided to use a 4-5-1 set up. The following players took the field: Hanen - Xiaoping, Kościółek, Pallarès, Chong Boon - Nemilý, Va'aknin, Anderson, Capitaine, Juh shiun - Baitieri.

SVL decided to use a 3-5-2 set up. They fielded: De Stefani - Hyötylä, Czyżewicz, Loidolt - Lazarowski, Urban, Calderón, Amaya, Maśko - Appenheimer, Hartborg.

Today, Mathematics's strategy involved concentrating on the flanks for their attacks. For their match strategy, SVL had decided to use their ability to counter-attack whenever possible. The visitors were very close to gaining the lead with a monstrous free kick in the 7th minute, but Song Hanen made a beautiful one-handed save. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, Mathematics's Huang Xiaoping got himself booked. A mistake by the home side's central defence in the 26th minute allowed Bud Appenheimer to score the 0 - 1 goal for SVL. Bjarke Anderson was just a finger's breadth away from an equaliser for Mathematics with a strike from the left, but Natalino De Stefani managed to ward the closing shot off to a corner. Karol Lazarowski stunned the crowd with a brilliant counterattack from the left, giving SVL the goal to make it 0 - 2. The structure of the game started to change as SVL decided to pull back and meet their opponents in their own half. Artek Czyżewicz of SVL was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. 0 - 2 was the halftime score. This half belonged to Mathematics, who controlled the ball 54 percent of the time.

SVL's Matti Hyötylä had to watch the rest of the game from the sidelines, after twisting his ankle in the 62nd minute. Fabio Calzolari was the replacement. The home side worked hard to get through the middle and as a result, had a good chance of getting one back as Bjarke Anderson tried lifting the ball over keeper Natalino De Stefani. Unfortunately, the ball went just over the bar. After the ball was lifted in from the left, Luke Amaya was on his own in the home side's penalty area and should have scored in the 78th minute, but missed, probably due to lack of concentration. SVL almost scored after a counterattack in the 81st minute, but Fabio Calzolari took a shot from the left that landed harmlessly in the side of the net. The forty-five minutes were dominated by Mathematics, with an impressive 60 percent possession of the ball.

Most important Mathematics player was Zhang Juh shiun. However, Song Hanen made a disastrous appearance. Fabio Calzolari performed admirably for SVL. However, Mikael Hartborg made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 0 - 2.
