Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 16900 to Lulu Arena. Lulu decided to use a 4-4-2 set up. The following players had been chosen: Acharayothin - Fu, Malviccino, Chun Shin, Csikós - Qi Chang, Yerushalmi, Hinz, Běhounek - Avivi, Aínsa.
Mathematics decided to use a 5-3-2 set up. The following players had been chosen: Danjian - Yue Shun, Xiaoping, Kościółek,
Pagkalos, Thien Hu - Juh shiun, Chong Wai, Guan Hee - Li Seng, Nota.
Lulu seemed to prefer attacking in the middle. For their match strategy, Mathematics had decided to use their ability to
counter-attack whenever possible. Making his way up the middle in the 11th minute, Gernot Hinz almost managed to squeeze a goal
past the visitors' keeper, but the alert Su Danjian blocked it to keep the score level. Good work by Mathematics's defensive line
produced a couple of good counterattack chances, one of which found Ye Li Seng alone in front of the goal, but his shot whistled
just wide. Lulu's Marco Antonio Aínsa tried to break through in the middle repeatedly, but couldn't get past the visitors'
defenders. A great pass from the defensive line of Mathematics resulted in a counterattack that was smoothly dealt with by Song
Thien Hu in the centre of the opposition's penalty area, but his finish went high. After a fine move down the middle Zong Qi
Chang nearly gave the home side one up in the 41st minute. The finishing shot went just wide, though. In the 45th minute cheers
broke out as Zong Qi Chang found his way through the guests' central defence, clipping the 1 - 0 goal in for Lulu. It was 1 - 0
at the break. Lulu, bringing their ball possession to 70 percent, dominated the battle.
Lulu's Shalom Yerushalmi swung in a good chance from the left, but the visitors' defence were able to clear the ball. A great
pass from the defensive line of Mathematics resulted in a counterattack that was smoothly dealt with by Vittorio Nota in the
centre of the opposition's penalty area, but his finish went high. A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Lulu's
Shalom Yerushalmi putting the lead up to 2 - 0. The score became 3 - 0 at 58 minutes into the game, when Lulu were given a
penalty with which Vlado Běhounek made no mistake. Confident in their lead, Lulu decided to play a more defensive game at this
point. Lulu's Celso Malviccino left the field after 78 minutes because of a nasty blow to the shin. His replacement was Chan Jian
Xin. Man, what a shot by Lulu's Shalom Yerushalmi! Firing from 35 yards, he didn't give the opposition keeper a chance and it was
4 - 0. After 81 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by
Shalom Yerushalmi might have resulted in another goal for Lulu. However, Su Danjian made a spectacular save. The referee showed
Lulu's Yoram Avivi the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Lulu, bringing their ball possession to 78 percent,
dominated the battle.
The most dominating Lulu player was without a doubt András Csikós. Gernot Hinz turned in a dismal performance, however.
Mathematics's top performer was clearly Zhang Juh shiun. Li Guan Hee on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 4 -
