It had rained all day, but 6705 hardy fans still made it out to [DDT] 新數皇大球場. Mathematics decided to use a 4-5-1 set up. Lineup: Danjian - Chong Boon, Thien Hu, Kościółek, Pagkalos - Juh shiun, Xiaoping, Guan Hee, Karkov, Yue Shun - Kwong.

Skyscraper had chosen a strategic 3-4-3 formation. The following players took the field: Tomagola - Halmevaara, Chun Sing, Wei Fu - Phuong, Gong Liang, Efrat, Espersen - You De, Lewenbauer, Rimmi.

The guests took the lead in the 6th minute, after a right-side attack resulted in Armin Lewenbauer scoring the 0 - 1 goal. In the 7th minute, following yet another great corner, Huang Xiaoping knocked the ball to the limit of Ye Chong Boon's reach, who just couldn't put it in the net. The visitors' Cai You De took advantage of an error due to a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and central backs in the 11th minute. 0 - 2 for Skyscraper. Mathematics's Huang Xiaoping cut towards the middle in the 27th minute, recieving a brilliant pass and slicing through the visiting team's central defence, putting the 1 - 2 goal away. Huang Xiaoping didn't let the weather get him down and made some great moves on the pitch in spite of the rain. Yu Kwong's free kick in the 38th minute should have scored for Mathematics, but the visitors' keeper just managed to get a hand on it. It was 1 - 2 at the break. Mathematics held the ball, with a clear 62 percent of possession.

Due to some great work on the right wing Mathematics's Huang Xiaoping was able to even the score in the 61st minute to 2 - 2. Skyscraper had several good opportunities to take the lead, especially in the 65th minute when Armin Lewenbauer came up alone against Su Danjian who managed a block. After 72 minutes of play, Ole Karkov gave the home team a 3 - 2 lead after an attack coming in from the right. After 77 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by Song Thien Hu might have resulted in another goal for Mathematics. However, Junior Tomagola made a spectacular save. Many in the crowd felt the referee was being too lenient when he only showed Mathematics's Huang Xiaoping a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind in the 80th minute. Unfortunately for Skyscraper, Emil Halmevaara was injured when the game became more physical, and he had to leave the field. Kimmo Opas replaced him. Mathematics, bringing their ball possession to 64 percent, dominated the battle.

Zhang Juh shiun performed admirably for Mathematics. On the other hand, Song Thien Hu's play was disheartening. Skyscraper's best player was Armin Lewenbauer. However, Peng Chun Sing made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 3 - 2.
