4166 spectators arrived at [DDT] 新數皇大球場, where weather conditions were pretty good for football. People from all over Kowloon had joined up for the derby. Mathematics decided to use a 5-4-1 set up. The following players took the field: Chengkun - Chong Boon, Xiaoping, Kościółek, Pagkalos, Thien Hu - Juh shiun, Li Huei, Chong Wai, Yue Shun - Kwong.

Tsikwan decided to use a 4-4-2 set up. The following players had been chosen: Jen Jieh - Johnson, Enbang, Kee Fei, Jen Hua - King Lun, Thai Huy, Tai Kwee, Than Pong - Fenglin, Deyang.

Counter-attacking seemed to be the preferred strategy of Mathematics. In the 13th minute Zhang Juh shiun almost put the home team one ahead on a cross coming in from the right, but the shot went just wide. It was 0 - 0 at the break. The forty-five minutes were dominated by Mathematics, with an impressive 63 percent possession of the ball.

The home side put themselves ahead 1 - 0 in the 60th minute after a breakthrough from Omiros Pagkalos, who, unaided, came in out of the right wing hooking the ball over the visitors' keeper. The referee showed Mathematics's Song Thien Hu the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Some things can only be learned through experience, and Song Thien Hu should take his lesson to heart after nearly giving Tsikwan a goal in the 73rd minute. Mathematics, bringing their ball possession to 62 percent, dominated the battle.

The most dominating Mathematics player was without a doubt Lin Yue Shun. However, Wilhelm Kościółek made a disastrous appearance. The most dominating Tsikwan player was without a doubt Liu King Lun. Lin Tai Kwee on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 1 - 0.
