22787 spectators had found their way to Lulu Arena, despite the heavy rain. Lulu tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination. The following players had been chosen: King - Csikós, Malviccino, Jian Xin - Wittenberg, Yerushalmi, Nam Fong, Hinz, Høyem - Avivi, Aínsa.
Mathematics tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination. The following players had been chosen: Toffolo - Thien Hu,
Kościółek, Nemilý - Juh shiun, Va'aknin, Anderson, Capitaine, Yue Shun - Baitieri, Roy.
Mathematics decided to play creatively. In the 5th minute cheers broke out as Yoram Avivi found his way through the guests'
central defence, clipping the 1 - 0 goal in for Lulu. There wasn't much opportunity for rapid movements on this wet day, which
hindered Bjarke Anderson in particular. Some brilliant football from the visitors' right wing resulted in a 28th minute levelling
of score as Mathematics's Lin Yue Shun put the ball in the net for 1 - 1. In the 30th minute, the home side managed to get a 2 -
1 lead as Gernot Hinz flipped the ball in after a cross pass from the right. Marco Antonio Aínsa gave Lulu supporters even more
to cheer about when he increased the lead to 3 - 1 after 32 minutes, following a good exchange of passes on the right that the
away team failed to deal with. Mathematics reduced in the 35th minute to 3 - 2 as Mel Roy easily chipped the ball past the home
side's keeper on a play from the right. Halftime score was 3 - 2. Mathematics, bringing their ball possession to 54 percent,
dominated the battle.
Lulu's Marco Antonio Aínsa swung in a good chance from the left, but the visitors' defence were able to clear the ball. In the
54th minute, the visitors could have scored the tying goal after Lin Yue Shun came through the middle, but his kick went wide.
Mel Roy had a hard time on the water infested pitch - his trademark technique was nowhere in sight this day. A magnificent
combination in the middle resulted in Lulu's Chan Jian Xin putting the lead up to 4 - 2. Yoram Avivi increased Lulu's lead to 5 -
2, putting a header away on a hooked ball from the right. This half belonged to Mathematics, who controlled the ball 56 percent
of the time.
Lulu's top performer was clearly Andreas Høyem. On the other hand, Chan Jian Xin's play was disheartening. The most dominating
Mathematics player was without a doubt Zhang Juh shiun. Mel Roy turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 5 -
2.
