Clear skies welcomed the 11019 spectators who had made their way to [DDT] 新數皇大球場. Mathematics tactics involved an interesting 4-5-1 combination. They fielded: Danjian - Kościółek, Chong Boon, Thien Hu, Yue Shun - Chong Wai, Xiaoping, Guan Hee, Va'aknin, Juh shiun - Kwong.

NCY tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination. The following players took the field: Po Fat - Tak Cheung, Ho Ghan, Hendriks - Machtelinckx, Guo Hui, Ji An, Jiaan, Merlo - Bradshaw, Xi Ku.

Mathematics saw most attack opportunites on the wings. NCY clearly had decided to counter-attack when they could. The home keeper expected a move to the right, but Ao Xi Ku surprised him with a free kick aimed the other way in the 12th minute. 0 - 1 for NCY. After a fatal mistake from the away team's right side defence in the 13th minute, an alert Yu Kwong bagged the ball for Mathematics, evening the score to 1 - 1. In the game's 16th minute, Mathematics's Song Thien Hu fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee booked Song Thien Hu for diving. NCY was great at switching from defence to attack, and in the 28th minute, Brian Bradshaw swept through in the middle after such a counterattack, making the score 1 - 2. In the 33rd minute, the visitors put themselves ahead 1 - 3 as Guo Guo Hui finished off an attack from the left with a spectacular scissors kick. The teams went for the halftime break at 1 - 3. Mathematics, bringing their ball possession to 64 percent, dominated the battle.

47 minutes into the game, Fred Hendriks had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury. In came Sytse van de Poel. In the 50th minute, following yet another great corner, Ye Chong Boon knocked the ball to the limit of Huang Xiaoping's reach, who just couldn't put it in the net. A great pass from the defensive line of Mathematics resulted in a counterattack that was smoothly dealt with by Hei Chong Wai in the centre of the opposition's penalty area, but his finish went high. Lei Jiaan of NCY received a yellow card in the 70th minute for unsportsmanlike behaviour. Mathematics held the ball, with a clear 75 percent of possession.

Most important Mathematics player was Zhang Juh shiun. Yu Kwong on the other hand, had a terrible day. Ignacio Antonio Merlo performed admirably for NCY. Sytse van de Poel was a disappointment, however. The match ends 1 - 3.
