Mathematics got a chance to level the score as James Baitieri suddenly found himself free with only the 'keeper to beat, but the finishing shot hit the bar. In the game's 31st minute, Mathematics's Huang Xiaoping fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee booked Huang Xiaoping for diving. Mathematics seemed a little tentative in their play as their organization fell to inadequate. A review of the gameplan helped Mathematics get back to a solid organization. In the 52nd minute, the visitors broke through on the right after some poor defending.
