Clear skies welcomed the 3414 spectators who had made their way to FC Blackton Arena. Blackton tactics involved an interesting 4-4-2 combination. The following players had been chosen: Erzhong - Rencheng, Hongjie, Chengyong, Pingchong - Haihui, Pingxuan, Guijun, Hantian - Minglin, Daozhong.

Mathematics started off with a 4-5-1 lineup. The following players took the field: Iskandarov - Pagkalos, Thien Hu, Kościółek, Yue Shun - Núñez, Xiaoping, Chong Wai, Guan Hee, Juh shiun - Baitieri.

The 1st minute saw the home team take a 1 - 0 lead after breaking through on the left. Scorer for Blackton was Mu Pingchong. Blackton's Teng Minglin had to watch the rest of the game from the sidelines, after twisting his ankle in the 22nd minute. Tian Enying was the replacement. A penalty in the 23rd minute gave the home side a chance at adding to the score, but an overconfident Liang Erzhong shot the ball wide trying to put it away in the top corner. Halftime score was 1 - 0. Blackton, bringing their ball possession to 53 percent, dominated the battle.

The visiting team's James Baitieri was able to score the 1 - 1 equaliser in the 48th minute with a header, after some good work on the right. In the 59th minute, Mathematics's Song Thien Hu received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. A loud groan was heard from the fans of Blackton, as Cheng Hantian left the pitch in too much pain to finish the match. Zhuang Mingguang took his place on the field. Liang Erzhong looked great in the 61st minute after stopping a shot by the visitors' Li Guan Hee. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, Blackton's Zhao Guijun got himself booked. The game was close to savage at times, and Blackton's Zhao Guijun received a second yellow card in the 67th minute, his ticket out of the game. A loud groan was heard from the fans of Mathematics, as Huang Xiaoping left the pitch in too much pain to finish the match. Ye Chong Boon took his place on the field. The guests took the lead in the 75th minute, after a right-side attack resulted in Omiros Pagkalos scoring the 1 - 2 goal. Blackton's Zhuang Mingguang's early cross took everyone by surprise except for Yao Haihui who alertly redirected the ball goalwards and past the hapless goalkeeper to make the score 2 - 2. This half belonged to Mathematics, who controlled the ball 73 percent of the time.

The most dominating Blackton player was without a doubt He Chengyong. Zhuang Mingguang on the other hand, had a terrible day. Most important Mathematics player was Zhang Juh shiun. Ye Chong Boon was a disappointment, however. The match ends 2 - 2.
