MatchID: 113931537
Arena: [DDT] 新數皇大球場
The crowd of 8932 turning up at [DDT] 新數皇大球場 today were greeted with some nasty showers of rain. Mathematics tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination. Lineup: Iskandarov - Thien Hu, Kościółek, Pagkalos - Yue Shun, Xiaoping, Va'aknin, Anderson, Chong Wai - Baitieri, Núñez.
A 4-4-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Hattrick_Patrick. The following players took the field: Gur - Ruivo, Ming Chen,
Cohen, Dobre - Staalenburg, Darbellay, Paulsson, Daming - Molon, Shareef.
Mathematics were mostly trying to use their skill at attacking on the flanks. Bjarke Anderson slipped and slithered in the wet
grass. His usual rapid runs were nowhere to be seen today. After a fine move down the middle Rafael Núñez nearly gave the home
side one up in the 20th minute. The finishing shot went just wide, though. Song Thien Hu had a hard time on the water infested
pitch - his trademark technique was nowhere in sight this day. Yehoshua Va'aknin gave his Mathematics the lead with 1 - 0, as he
successfully challenged the guests' central defenders, then placed the ball unreachably at the keeper's right post. After 41
minutes, Mathematics's Hei Chong Wai fell awkwardly, but was determined to stay in the match. Daniel Ruivo tied the game at 1 - 1
in the 42nd minute, when he converted an incredible pass from the right. After 44 minutes of play, Rafael Núñez gave the home
team a 2 - 1 lead after an attack coming in from the right. It was 2 - 1 at the break. Mathematics, bringing their ball
possession to 58 percent, dominated the battle.
Carlo Darbellay of Hattrick_Patrick received a yellow card in the 52nd minute for unsportsmanlike behaviour. Hattrick_Patrick got
a chance to level the score as Carlo Darbellay suddenly found himself free with only the 'keeper to beat, but the finishing shot
hit the bar. Mathematics's Huang Xiaoping was shown a yellow card after 67 minutes for slicing down an opponent. Bjarke Anderson
of Mathematics was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. After 80 minutes James Baitieri made a speedy advance and
dropped the ball to Rafael Núñez who shuffled it past the keeper. The score was now 3 - 1. The away team reduced the score to 3 -
2, as Shaheen Shareef struck home, set up well by a play on the left in the 81st minute. Mathematics held the ball, with a clear
56 percent of possession.
Nikolay Iskandarov performed admirably for Mathematics. Omiros Pagkalos turned in a dismal performance, however. Most important
Hattrick_Patrick player was Carlo Darbellay. Uri Cohen turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 3 - 2.
