Bremerton Municipal Field
The club's arena, Bremerton Municipal Field at Blackbrick, is located in downtown Bremerton and seats 48,000 adoring fans. The
arena was formerly named Paul A. Lewellan Field, but the name changed after the Bremerton Chamber of Commerce funded the majority
of the arena's recent expansions. The name Blackbrick comes from the fans' nickname for the stadium, since its structure is made
of charcoal-shaded brick. The arena is widely regarded as the loudest spot in Bremerton on a sunday afternoon, and cheers can be
heard from miles away due to the open-aired stands. The stadium is also the home of the Washington Division 3 High School soccer
playoffs, and is the largest open-aired stadium on the Olympic Peninsula.
Bremerton Athletic Complex
The Bombers management complex is located in Bremerton only two blocks from the stadium, and features state-of-the-art indoor
training facilities for the players and team staff. The complex was built in late 2005 after the old complex in the Greenlake
district of Seattle was sold to a neighboring Barnes and Noble looking to expand. The team management is widely regarded for
favoring a defense-offense approach to the game, instead of ball-possession style tactics. The front office employs 30 employees,
10 of which are seasonal, to schedule friendly games, market the team to the community, and accomplish other club tasks.
The Uniforms
The Bombers uniforms consist of a dark blue shirt with a single royal blue diagonal stripe crossing from the left armpit to
the right hip and passing behind the Bombers' emblem, mint blue shorts accented with a light blue, and green gradiented socks.
The team's away uniform is nearly identical to the home uniform, except with green shirt and shorts along with blue gradiented
socks. The team has also been known to wear a different color of socks for some matches to commemorate various events. The
uniforms are new as of season 29; prior to the change the team wore blue uniforms with vertical stripes, and prior to the name
change the team wore red uniforms.
The Bomb Squad
The team's official fan club, the Bomb Squad, as of October 2006 has just under 2000 members, most of who are also season
ticket-holders. The fans are notoriously loud during the home games; the press has declared Bremerton Municipal to be the
"loudest stadium in V.250." Despite the team's poor performance in recent years, the number of fans in the fan club has actually
increased slightly. The fans have recently formed The Bremerton Report, which originally started as an unofficial fan site for
the club but now has received the honor of becoming the club's official site.
