17.11.2007 Belgium hosts World Cup XI
On Friday 23 November the qualifications for the next Hattrick World Cup gets underway. The finals of this tournament will take place in Belgium in early 2008. Belgium is one of the few large Hattrick leagues never to have hosted an official tournament. Congratulations to the host nation for winning the bid - and our best wishes to all participating teams!


15.6.2008 World cup final and elections
Tonight, 20.00 HT-time, it is time for the final of the World Cup XI played in Belgium. You are all very welcome to follow the game and may the best team win!

On Monday it is then time to elect a new national coach, and the election can be found here. Be sure to stop by the conference to check out the candidates' speeches and participate in the debate, but remember to follow the conference rules.


15.6.2008 Česká republika – the new world champions!
The World Cup final between Česká republika and Ukraina became a real nailbiter. Česká republika controlled the ball from the start, but it was difficult for them to get through Ukraina's defence. Moreover, they also had to watch out for Ukraina's sharp counter-attacks. In the end Česká was the stronger of the two and won the final with 2-1.

Congratulations Česká republika to your first World Cup victory, and especially to coach Ziky1!
