== History ==
During a historic meeting on May 7, 2003 in [[Amsterdam]] a new football club '''''Amsterdam United FC''''' was founded. It was decided that the club would be playing in a red and black vertically striped shirt, black shorts and white socks. Today, the club is still palying in these original club colours. The club started in division [[VII.476]] and played it's first match on May 11, 2003. In the first [[season]] a praiseworthy 3rd place was reached. In the next [[season]] the club won its first ever championship and was promoted to division VI. At the moment '''Amsterdam United FC''' is playing in division [[V.176]]. Until now the club has won 5 championships and the last one was won last season.
