What should we do about this one? The list is full of non-memorable clubs, which is a hard to avoid problem. There is already a category for non-remarkable teams: :Category:User Clubs, and its talk page Category_talk:User_Clubs. I think the issues are:
*remarkable vs non-remarkable teams - how to categorize them?
*divide by country - is it worth it?
Regarding the second issue, at this moment there is an :Category:Clubs_by_country as well as subcategories under :Category:Clubs. To get rid of all this, my suggestion is to leave :Category:Clubs as a dummy category, and split its contents in :Category:User Clubs and :Category:Remarkable Clubs, adding subcategories for countries under each one. --duno7 13:42, 29 November 2005 (UTC)
I think clubs is too big a category to limit in any way. The solution is to split off the "memorable" clubs. There's a similiar category the US :Category:Notable American Clubs. Septimusjm 18:16, 30 November 2005 (UTC)

The practice of buying players and (attempting to) sell them for a higher price shortly afterwards, without training them (as opposed to skill trading).

Daytrading is not as widely practised as it used to be. In response to a perceived competitive advantage daytrading provided, Hattrick institued changes to the game specifically to reduce daytrading's effectivness. Among the changes were higher agent fees for sold players graduated by length of time spent in the team, the introduction of the transfer compare feature, and an increase in the effect on the Team Spirit caused by buying and selling players.

However, arguably the most important change was the ability to search by region. As against searching by 80+ countries, there were created 8 different zones for everyone to look through.

The Controversy of Daytrading
Some managers argue daytrading has a beneficial effect in the Hattrick economy, as they believe daytrading levels the prices of players.

Others believe daytrading gives a competitive advantage to people for being on the computer, is unrealistic, and preys on newbie managers. Daytrading also makes the idea of Hattrick being a game about football somewhat dubious. Arguably, frequent transfers are also an important part in some real life clubs, but surely not as much as practised by HT-daytraders. For daytraders at least Hattrick can be well approximated by any other market simulation game.
