The Hattrick Manager License Challenge is a program established for new players to help them learn the rules of the game by a simple philosophy: they will read the rules if there is money involved. The challenge consists of 24 different parts. The last six parts are all quizzes of six questions each.

History of the Program
The Manager License program was launched on November 28th, 2005 (Global Season 27 after match day 11). The Hattrick Team issued this announcement explaining the changes:

11/28/2005 - Newbie Tutorial<br>
Starting today, new users in Hattrick will get to complete a tutorial - the Hattrick Manager License Challenge - over their first few weeks on the site.
<br>
It consists of a number of tasks that the user has to complete to get the License. Rather than getting a big lump of money at the start, new teams will get only EUR 50,000 on day one and will instead receive a bonus for each completed task. The maximum bonus sum is an additional EUR 250,000.
<br>
As a previously existing user, you are also welcome to complete the Manager License Challenge. However, you won't get any bonus money; that just wouldn't be fair. But you do get a small diploma to display on your team page. More information is available under My Hattrick > Manager License in the menu.

The Complete List of Challenges
The program consists of 24 parts:

#Name your arena - $5,000
#:Pretty straightforward. Just go to the "arena" page and change your arena name.
#Promote a Youth Player - $5,000
#:Again, pretty straightforward. Go to the "The Club" page and promote a youth player.
#Check economy - $10,000
#:Simply visiting the economy page finishes this challenge.
#Check your players - $10,000
#:Just visit the players page.
#Hire a Specialist - $10,000
#:Go to "The Club" and hire a specialist. Simple.
#Search for... - $10,000
#:I'm actually not sure which completed this challenge: either visiting search under tools, or clicking on the link to your own league in the bottom left hand corner of the screen.
#Book a Friendly - $15,000
#:You must either accept a challenge for a friendly, or challenge someone to a friendly and have them accept.
#Match Order (4-4-2) - $25,000
#:Can only be completed after Challenge #7. You must set a lineup, and then hit the all-important "Send Orders" button to complete this challenge.
#Join the newbie conference and the conference of your league - $10,000
#:If you're reading this, you've probably done this. :-p
#Place a bid on a player - $15,000
#:It doesn't matter if you win the bid or not, you just need to bid on someone.
#Check the result of your first match - $10,000
#:Strangely enough, you don't have to wait until after your first match to do this. Just click on Matches, and under "More info about the team" choose "last lineup" and challenge complete.
#Transfer List a Player - $15,000
#:Just try to sell a player. It doesn't matter if they're bought or not.
#Choose Training Type - $10,000
#:Just go under training and choose a training type. Simple.
#Play your second Match (new match order) - $10,000
#:I'm not sure if you have to change something in your match order or not, but again, you must hit that important "Send Orders" button to complete. It only works for A DIFFERENT MATCH than the one used for Challenge #8. In other words, by now, you must have booked at least 2 matches and used a different match order (?) for each of them.
#Fill in your details - $20,000
#:It gives you a few more things to fill out when you click the link it gives you. Then you have to wait a few days for a GM to look at it. Note that once this challenge has been done, and a GM has looked at it, you can then look at tactics and position in your own match orders.
#Visit "About Supporter - $10,000
#:You just need to go to help -> About supporter.
#"Buy" credits in the shop (for free) - $10,000
#:It just wants you to go to the shop and buy the 3 credits. It doesn't charge you for them, or even ask for payment information. You can buy them for yourself, or for someone else, it doesn't matter.
#Reposition players - $10,000
#:In order to finish this challenge, you have to use a different match formation than 4-4-2. After finishing challenge 15, the game will allow you to change the formation and orders. But in order to finish this challenge, you must use a different game than the ones used for #8 and #14. This means in order to finish this challenge, you must set the orders for your third game. Once again, when you have finished playing around with the match orders, you must hit the Send Orders button.
#Quiz 1 - variable $
#:You get quizzed on various parts of the game. No, I'm not giving away the answers. They give you a link to the rules page, and the answers are easy. And multiple choice.
#Quiz 2 - variable $
#Quiz 3 - variable $
#Quiz 4 - variable $
#Quiz 5 - variable $
#Quiz 6 - variable $

Duno7: cleaned up + added some info (not complete yet)

Introduction
Any game that is not a competitive match is a friendly. The main point of friendlies is to maximise training, or keeping your substitutes in a hopefuly better form. There is also some gate income will help your economy, but the income is quite low compared to an official league match (it is rare to spot friendlies with over 5.000 spectators, even among teams from the top divisions). A popular thing to do in friendly matches is flag chasing, where you visit a new country every week.

Effects
The outcome of the match has no effect on sponsors supporters, team spirit, confidence or player bookings. However, players might get injured while playing that match, and they can also gain a tiny amount of experience, much lower than the amount of experience from a league match. See the experience article for the formula.

Income
The amount of spectators who attend a friendly match is significantly lower than the amount of spectators who attend a regular league match. The income is split evenly among the two teams. The attendance will be slightly higher if the match is an international friendly.

Match types
The friendlies can be played using two different kind of rules:
Normal
* If the match ends in a draw, no extra time or penalties will be played.
* The amount of attendance is lower than a cup rules friendly.
Cup rules
* If the match ends in a draw, extra time and penalties (if needed) will be played.
* The attendance of the match is higher than a normal friendly.

Venue
International friendly
National friendly
Neutral ground
Considerations
Profitability
For clubs of the lowest division in large leagues (e.g. Netherlands, Spain, Sweden or Germany) are international friendlies (away) not recommendable. The travelling costs will be higher then the spectator income of the match. That teams should make friendly matches against higher division teams of the own country or international friendlies in their own stadions. The economic effect is here also important.

example (german XI. division team):

spectators in series games:<br>
2175<br>
1230<br>
2247<br>
1243<br>
1104

Spectators in a friendly against a IV. division team:<br>
* Number of trainees: you can train up to 16 players by using 2-5-3, and up to 14 players using standard formations.
:*Since there are so many training spots, a loss of one of them during some weeks does not have that much impact in the whole training program, allowing to use a player in both matches during the week (this might lead to a better cup run, or similar) without noticeable drawbacks.
:*You can configure your squad by having different sets of trainees, making it easier to have replacements for your A-team.
* Tactical flexibility: you can play 3-4-3 and 3-5-2 at your will without sacrifizing real training spots. You can discard a slot and play also 4-4-2. This, combined with the possibility of having an ample set of substitutes, leads to a better-than-average tactical flexibility.
* Wages: Since passing will probably most of the time be your player's the second highest ability, its impact on the wages is lower. This allows creating multiskilled players that will have roughly the same wage as the same player with no passing, and better performance in the field.

Drawbacks
* Economical investment: having 14 perfect (in market terms) trainees requires a investment that most teams cannot afford. A lot of millions need to be inverted in trainees to get the maximum profit. Because of this, most of the time you can get more money by training a primary skill.
* Market unpredictability: since the number of players with higher than excellent passing in the market is very low, it is hard to know the right price of such players. Most of the time you just have to be lucky an owner who likes passing sees your player at the moment of the deadline to have it sold. While this can be also a good thing, most of the time selling such players is a risk.

Formations
3-5-2 and 3-4-3 are the most popular, since they the dominant tactics at the moment. Some managers also play 2-5-3 in friendly matches, so they can use the extra-training spot.

Popularity
The number of users training short passes is around 25.000, which is a 4% of the total hattrick managers.

Duno7: /* Training types */

Importance of training
Training is one of the most important aspects of a successful team in Hattrick. By concentrating on training just one skill for a number of seasons a team can take medium skilled, young players and train them up to become superstars, who can then be sold for a handsome profit. Thus improving the team and helping the team to eventually to win promotion.

But the monetary side is only one side of the medal. Each training type has also non monetary (dis-)advantages. For example a playmaking trainer can't train his players efficiently in the later cup rounds or a goalkeeper trainer is not limited in specific formations.

Choosing trainees
Choosing the correct players to train is a balancing act. There are four factors to consider.
* Main skill (goalkeeping, defending, playmaking, winger or scoring)
* Age
* Secondary skills, related to the main skill
* Price

There is little to be gained from training players that are not at least passable in their main skill, although for new players 17 year olds with inadequate main skill should be considered.
Training a player who is passable or solid in primary skill is not as profitable as training higher skills, but lower skilled players cost considerably less to purchase.
To get some ideas of the cost and profit from various skill increases see
HAM Transfer Price Evaluation

As players age, they decrease in price, so buying slightly older players (eg 18 or 19 year olds) is often wise.

The better the secondary skills, the more you will pay to purchase the trainee, but the final selling price will also be higher.

Training types
In Hattrick, training takes place once a week. Typically only players who played on certain positions are fully trained depending on the skill you are training. If, for instance, forwards are being trained then only the players that played as a forward in one of the two games that week receive training. Note that only last played position matters for training.
There are 12 types of training. Each have their own potential for generating profit or improving your team. Generally the training types that concentrate on one of the main skills (goalkeeping, defending, playmaking, winger, and scoring) are the most popular training types.

Brackets indicate small effects. Double brackets indicate very small effects
<TABLE>
<TR vAlign=top style="background-color:#dddddd">
<TD></TD>
<TD></TD>
<TD></TD></TR>

</TABLE>

Please note the 'Training Speed' numbers are based on 17 year old trainees, using a solid coach, and 9 assistants.

There is a theory that claims that for each year above 17 you should add one week (or a fraction of a week) of training. Another theory is, that training speed is depreciated with approximately 8% each year above 17 years of age.

Also note that these training speed values are given as an average, and can (and will) vary from player to player. This means, for example, that if the value presented for a given training is 7 weeks, some players will take 6, others 8, but if you look at a large number of players they should average at 7.

Training efficiency factors
Effect of coach
To achieve the optimal training time requires a coach with solid coaching skills.
A coaching level below that lengthens training time. A general rule of thumb is one extra week for every level below solid, although this rule is not so accurate with the faster training types.

Excellent coaches train slightly faster than solid ones by roughly half a week but are generally seen as too expensive to be profitable in the long term.

Effect of player age
Young players train much faster than old players. To achieve the optimal training time your trainees need to be between under 20, with 17 year olds being the best.

Older players are much slower to train, and a good rule of thumb is one extra week for every year older than 17. More precisely, training becomes 8-9% slower for every year above this.

Certain training types - namely set pieces, stamina and general - work exactly the same, no matter what age the player is.

As a player reaches 27 his abilities may start decreasing. This process doesn't occur constantly, and there is no guarantee it will happen at all. Typically, very small decreases occur for players around 30, considerably larger leaps for players around 35. For some reason, these decreases in abilities always surface on Mondays. Certain skills are harder to maintain as players grow older - scoring ability is the hardest to maintain, whilst goalkeeping is the easiest.

It's very hard to maintain stamina above the level of "excellent" for a long period of time. All players just above the dividing line between "excellent" and the level under it are successively pressed downwards. There's a limit to how well the human body can perform.

<BR>

Effect of assistants
Assistant coaches also help with training. A team may only have 10 of any one type of staff. However assistant coaches and goalkeeping coaches are treated as one type, so a team may only have a combined total of 10 coaches. Typically non-goalkeeping training teams employ 9 assistant coaches and 1 goalkeeping coach. It is believed that a goalkeeping coach helps to maintain the form of the keeper. Other people prefer a 8 to 2 split between coaches.

Some users claim it is possible to have 11 coaches without seeing any ill effects, but many users have lost training when trying this.

It is not always in a teams best interest to hire all the possible assistants. The effect of each additional assistant decreases fast. E.g. having 5 GK coaches instead of 10 will slow GK training all the way from solid to divine by 1 week only. This is approximately 2 years of real time!

Clubs in financial difficulty should always bear this in mind when trying to make savings.

Training intensity
Most team managers agree it is best to train at 100% intensity. The benefits are clear in that skills increase more quickly, and there is also the likelihood of better form.

Unfortunately, there is also an increased chance of injury.

When to cash in
In most cases selling trainees at age 21 is the best way to maximise profit. Once a player hits 21 years old, he begins to train at a noticably slower rate compared to a younger player.

With particularly high skilled players, especially National Team players, training can be taken on further, but in general the financial returns decrease beyond the age of 21.

It is also worth noting it is possible to overtrain a player, and make him unsustainable in the long run due to the extremely high wages.

Form is one of the most important characteristics for any player, determining how well he is able to use his skills. You'll note that a good player who is out of form will often be outperformed by a not so good player at the top of his game.

For a fuller discussion, click here

Experience
Some players may not have the greatest abilities, but their nouse and knowledge of the game more than makes up for it. ]]d players often play much better than their younger, greener colleagues.

For a full discussion, click here

Player Specialties
Some of the players in Hattrick have specialties, that differentiate them from other players. A player may have only one specialty, and no more.

The five specialties are Head, Technical, Powerful, Quick and Unpredictable

To learn more about the diffrent specialties and how they affect the match, click here.

Personality
Finally, a player also has four personality characteristics, leadership, agreeability, honesty and aggressiveness.

Injury and Suspension
All this is well and good, but sometimes a player isn't able to play...

Injuries
It won't matter how good a player really is if he's not on form or is injured.<BR><BR>Sometimes players get injured. If this is the case, the injury, unless very slight, will put them on the treatment table for a couple of games. The risk of injuries increases as the team increases the intensity of training. Older players take longer to heal than young ones. You should also remember that the injury times stated are only estimates. A +1 injury could heal within 3 days with the assistance of doctors, but equally if your 35 year old star forward has a week-long injury, it might take him 10 or 11 days to get fit again.

For more information, see Injury

Yellow and red cards
Players may get booked or sent off during games. Two bookings during a match will automatically lead to the player being sent off. Bookings and Sending - Offs during competitive games eventually lead to a suspensions. A player will be suspended for the next match if he is sent off, or if he has accumulated 3 bookings during a season. This is shown by a red card symbol on the player page. You can also see how many yellow cards have been received so far. At the end of the season all cards are cleared.

Whilst a player can receive cards during friendly matches, they have no other effects than those seen during the game.

Highly aggressive players will tend to be booked more often than other players. Especially if they're also dishonest or lacking in experience.

Player pages, series pages, territorial categories
i think we need standards for the names above.
* For players i include the ID in the name. Then it's a unique page name.
* I have seen different ways for Series names: e.g. III.3 (USA) or Latvia II 2 (i prefer the first variant)
* same for subcategories. See :Category:Latvia for an example. 3 cat.s are name Latvian xyz and 1 is called Regions Latvija. (this should be Latvian Regions in my opinion)
--Shyrlden 16:15, 2 December 2005 (UTC)

I would not use the id in the player's name. Create them under your user namespace, and the problem is solved - besides, when having to access that page you need to type the id too, if i understood the idea right :) as for series, haven't checked the pages myself, but yours look like a good idea. finally, regarding subcategories, i also think some standardization is needed there, not sure which one is the best way though. --duno7 21:35, 3 December 2005 (UTC)
Dissambiguation team
I'm not sure if this discussion is taking place at some other article, but i guess this is also the right place. I have come accross certain words where some consensus is needed about them. We need to sort it out somehow, renaming the proper articles, making sure this is consistent with the rest of the wiki, and so on.
For example, what about Tactics? It can be used for the special tactics (CA, AIM, ...), for the total set of orders you give to your team (ie man, thats a cool tactic you used to defeat that guy), and some users might also use that word for the formation. This is used in a number of pages, and it is quite inconsistent now. We should set a standard word for each meaning, and make that list accessible to every writer. Another words are Team, Supporter, things like that.
I would suggest adding that list on the guidelines article, after discussing the stuff here. --duno7 21:42, 3 December 2005 (UTC)

To qualify for "exceptional", more is required of teams in a top level game than in a Divison IV fixture, and the same relative level is taken into account for the other tactic types as well. At a minimum you are guaranteed to get 20% more attack through the middle. Depending on your AIM skill, you will end up somewhere in between these two extremes.

Effectiveness
Attack in the Middle (AIM) is one of the game's tactics. It raises the probability that a chance is created in the middle of the field by at least 20%, lowering at the same time the probability that a chance is created on the wing.

It is believed that the usual distribution of chances between left wing, center, right wing and set pieces (including penalties) is 25%-40%-25%-10%. Playing AIM would change it to 21%-48%-21%-10% (if the ability in the tactic is low) or to 17%-56%-17%-10% (if the ability in the tactic is the highest possible). The ability in the tactic is calculated by summing the Passing ability of all your outfield players.

The drawback of the AIM tactic is a weakening of the wing defence.

Your ability to turn wing attacks into attacks through the middle is influenced by the total passing skill of all your outfield players. When calculating your AIM skill, an experience bonus is added for each involved player, as normal.

So do remember to AIM if you want a good central attack.

The AIM tactic is not reported with events like counter-attacks, and lost opportunities are detailed only for the tactics above. The only indication that a player is using AIM is at the start of the game report and in the match ratings. The game, however, keeps adding a modifier throughout the match.

Counter attack tactic
Benefits
* You can get additional scoring opportunities (normal CAs) if you don't win the midfield.

Drawbacks
* Your midfield rating is reduced by 7%. This reduction is applied your midfield rating, not to your possession (in practice, it will mean a considerably lower than 7% reduction to your possession).
* If you win the midfield playing CA the midfield is affected, but you don't get any normal CAs, just the penalty.

CA skill
CA skill is calculated from the skills of all playing defenders (and defenders only). A base number is calculated from adding the values of their defending skills and their passing skills. Passing skills are multiplied by 2. This base number is modified by the players form and experience and the result is a CA skill which appears to be completely linear.

Counter attack oportunities
There are 2 kinds of counter attacks (CA). The most common is the normal CA. The more rare kind is the random CA or special CA as it's also been called.

Normal CA
To get normal CAs you need to choose to play the tactic. In addition it only works if you don't win the midfield.

Random CA
Unlike the normal CA you don't need to play CA tactic to get a random CA, and you can also get it when you win midfield. They are much less frequent than normal CAs, but if you have a relatively strong defense they do appear from time to time. They can of course also appear even if you play CA tactic, but there is no way yet of telling which kind you get. Not that it really matters either.

How many random CAs can you get in a match. The highest known number so far is 3. That's a very high number in a single match for a type of chance that's rare to start with, so don't expect to see it happen to you. So far it's only 2 known matches where it's occured.

See also these quotes from HT-Jonas op Global.

Considerations
based on opinion
Which midfield rating?
Which midfield rating counts? Before calculating midfield penalties from CA and PIC or after? Nobody knows for sure, but statistical data indicate that the midfield need to be weaker before calculating the penalties in order for normal CA to work.

What about MOTS and CA? Can you have a weaker midfield without MOTS and win midfield with MOTS and still have a working CA? The statistical data is very limited in this area as very few MOTS and CA at the same time. Until otherwise proved, it would be prudent to expect it not to work and that CA requires a team to lose midfield both before and after penalties and bonuses.

Number of CAs in a match
How many CA's can you get in a single match? As with so many other things this is a secret HT keeps to themselves. Before random CAs were implemented 3 CAs was the highest recorded number and that was a fairly frequent number. It was then believed that 3 was a maximum number. After random CAs were implemented a few matches with 4 CAs have been recorded. It seems likely that they are caused by the team getting both normal and random CAs, but there's so far no way of knowing for sure.

CA Federations
There is also a Counter-Attackers Federation. This federation contains of over 200 members, and we're founded by Turbopippip 26.05.2004.
This federation would always answer any question you would have about CA.

Introduction
When playing a match, the possession your team has at a certain minute determines your chances of getting a goal chance. It depends on both your team's and the opponent team's midfield.

Possesion can be observed on the match report, at the end of the first half (minute 45) and the end of the second half (minute 90). That number is calculated using a formula which takes on consideration the midfield level of both the teams at that particular minute.

Formula
Possession(your_team) = 100 * (Midfield_(your_team) / (Midfield_(your_team) + Midfield(opponents_team)) )

* The scale of the midfields values is: 1=disastrous (very low), 2=disastrous (low) ...
* You can test an implementation of the formula at The HattriX-Ray

Observation
One of the consequences of the formula (in terms of gameplay) is that, to get a certaing possesion, you need to beat your rival's team by a highest number of levels when the average midfield level is higher. For example:
* disastrous (very low) vs wretched (very low) (1 level) = 71% possession
* solid (very low) vs 'excellent (very low) (1 level) = 54%

Also, the midfield values used in the formula are the ones on that particular minute, while the midfield rating that is displayed at the end of the match is the average of the midfield during the 90 minutes. This explains the cases where discrepancies between the possession percentages at the 45th and 90th minute and the midfield rating seem to appear. Events such as:
:* red cards (to players affecting the midfield)
:* injuries (to players affecting the midfield)
:* weather non-goal events (to players affecting the midfield)
:* overconfidence
:* Team attitude
:* Playing Counter attack
Possession vs goal opportunities nonlinearity
Statisticals analysis over the goal opportunities distribution taking into consideration the possession levels suggest that the relation between the possession and the number of chances your team has is far from being 1:1. The numbers suggest that you will most likely get 9 or 10 chances in the game if you have 65% possession.

:This article is about tactics as a special order (CA, AIM, etc). For other meanings, see Tactics (disambiguation).

Introduction
There are five individual types of tactic within Hattrick, listed with a brief explanation below. Fuller details can be found on the individual pages. Each tactic's effectiveness (except Play creatively) depends on certain skills of your players. Also, all of them have drawbacks that should be taken into consideration when using them.

__TOC__

Counter attack
Counter Attacks are a tactic that involves giving up midfield dominance in an attempt to score goals by counter-attacking. It can be very effective when used by a suitable team.

Pressing
Pressing means that all of your players try to put pressure on their opponents. They also put slightly more effort into breaking up your opponent's attacks than trying to create their own. The result is that the total number of potential chances in the game gets reduced for both teams.

Attack in the Middle
When using AIM, your team attempts to make more of your attacks down the centre of the pitch, at the expense of attacks on the wings. In other words, you trade attacks down the wings for attacks through the centre. You get a straight one for one exchange, so the total number of attacks remains constant. The disadvantage of this tactic is that your wing defence gets somewhat worse.

Attack on wings
This works in the same way as AIM, only in reverse. Instead of more attacks coming in the center, you get more of your attacks on the wings. Similarly to AIM, the disadvantage is that it weakens your central defence.

Play Creatively
When you use Play Creatively, there is a greater chance that special events (both positive and negative) will occur for both teams during the match. If both teams use Play Creatively, the chance for special events will be even greater. The downside is that teams playing creatively will be less focused on the defense, thus losing some defensive ability. Playing creatively will probably be good for SE-optimized teams (i.e. for teams that have many players with specialties).

Duno7: Counter Attack moved to Counter attack

There are 2 kinds of counter attacks (CA). The most common is the normal CA. The more rare kind is the random CA or special CA as it's also been called.

Normal CA
To get normal CAs you need to choose to play the tactic. In addition it only works if you don't win the midfield.

There is a penalty to using CA. It reduces your midfield rating by 7%. Calculated in possession this means about 1,8% if you were close to winning the midfield, less if you have a much weaker midfield than your opponent. If you only would get around 10% possession playing normal, you only lose about 0,5% playing CA. If you win the midfield playing CA the loss in possession increases, but you don't get any normal CAs, just the penalty.

General
No CAs, normal or random, are special events (SE). They are continued regular attacks. That means in order to get a CA, you first have to stop an attack. That requires you to have a relatively strong defense compared to your opponents attack (or a lot of luck). Any stopped attack can be converted to a CA. We know for sure that your CA skill have a major impact on your ability to convert a stopped attack to a CA. Other factors that may play a part are by how much the attack missed and how many CAs you've already had in that match.

A formula may look someting like:

Chance of converting = K + (CA skill * F) + miss percentage -(X*P)

K = Fixed base percentage F = Multiplier percentage for CA skill X = Number of CAs already achieved in the match. P = Penalty percentage for previous CAs in the match

CA skill
CA skill is calculated from the skills of all playing defenders and defenders only. A base number is calculated from adding the values of their defending skills and their passing skills. Passing skills are multiplied by 2. This base number is modified by the players form and experience and the result is a CA skill which appears to be completely linear.

CA Federation
There is also a Counter-Attackers Federation. This federation contains of over 200 members, and we're founded by Turbopippip 26.05.2004.
This federation would always answer any question you would have about CA.

With an exceptional AIM skill, you will get something like 40% more attacks through the middle. At a minimum you are guaranteed to get 20% more attack through the middle. Depending on your AIM skill, you will end up somewhere in between these two extremes.

Overview
Every team needs an arena where they can play their home matches. Your job is to build your arena as big as needed, but not to build it too big, because you must pay every week to keep your arena in shape. There are four types of stands:
* Terraces (most spectators will come to these so build these most),
* Regular seats (spectators who want some comfort when watching game buys these, these are second most used so build these a lot too),
* Seats under the roof (these are for people who want see match as comfortable as possible, still relatively a lot of spectators buys tickets for these seats),
* Seats in VIP lounge (only important spectators, like sponsors use these seats, thus you need to build only few of these)

Default distribution
Total capacity:
1200
Terraces:
8000
Basic seating:
3000
Seats under roof:
1000
Seats in VIP boxes:
0

How to build
Costs of expansion
Terraces:
60 €
Basic seating:
100 €
Seats under roof:
120 €
Seats in VIP boxes:
400 €

There is also an additional fee of 10,000 € every time you expand, no matter how many seats you add.

Stadium Expansion Theories
When building your Arena you might want to use one of the helper applications to get the arena done with the right amount of seats. Or just apply proportion of seats somewhere near 62% / 25% / 10% / 3%.

Your stadium is an expensive long-term investment, which will take around two seasons to pay for itself at best. It is generally better to improve your stadium in small steps (say 2000 to 4000), and only if you will be able to fill those additional places in the majority of your up-coming matches.

Teams on a bad run may not see home crowds anything as good as the 20x fan-club indicator mentioned often in guides. Your home crowds for league/cup games can be as low as 10x or 15x fan club size if you and your opponent are in low league positions and on bad runs and the weather is poor. This is particularly the case if you are in a low division populated by inactive teams. The often mentioned upper indicator of 30x fan-club size is much more accurate for teams in the upper divisions, where all teams are likely to have large fan clubs.

Efects
Doctors help injured players rehabilitate faster, with more doctors meaning faster healing. If you employ more than ten doctors there is a chance that your supporter mood will drop at every daily update until you reduce the number to ten or less. You are nonetheless able to use up to a maximum of 255 docs. Each additional doctor has a degressive effect (that means ten docs don't heal twice as fast as five do).

Injury time estimation
Several sites and helper applications offer tables or calculators to predict how long an injury will take to heal. Here are some popular sites (only the first one is able to give useful results if you want to employ more than ten docs):
*Advanced Injury Calculator<br>
*Kawasaki Tigers - Injury Healing Time Prediction Tool<br>
*X-ray - Healing

This site tells you how long you can expect a player to be injured based on the injury text in the match report.
*Hattrick Injury Database

The best theory (so far) regarding the influence of docs works as follows:

TSI-increase=Const. * (Y+1)^(0.2155)

Y is the number of docs

The formula should be valid, when there are no docs. There is still healing then, so it shouldn't give a 0. If you have no docs, the healing rate would be Const., the natural healing rate (depending on the age of the player in question).

When having e.g. 2 docs the healing rate would be (2+1)^0.2155=3^0.2155=1.27 (times Const. of course). So it increases by 27%.

It is an exponential function, thats what the ^ stands for.

Types of Staff
There are several different specialists available to your club. They help manage different things, but each costs you 1 500 € a week.

There's no limit to the amount of specialists you can hire, but the effect of every additional specialist receedes successively. Two specialists are better than one, but the effect is definitely not doubled. Having four specialists is slightly better than having two, but again doesn't double the effect.

*It will cost you 1 500 € to fire a specialist. If you have more than ten specialists of the same kind (goalkeeping and assistant coaches are, for this purpose, counted as the same type) problems with cooperation may occur, possibly causing negative effects on the teams atmosphere, or on economic setbacks, or similar which may include a loss of training. For every specialist above the first ten, the risk of a negative effect increases.

*The amount of specialists employed can be checked under "The Club" caption in the "Your Club" menu. This is also where you can hire and fire specialists.

Goalkeeping coach
Goalkeeping coaches improve your goalkeeper form, and they get more out of goalkeeping training.

Assistant coach
Assistant coaches improve outfield players' form and they get more out of training sessions. The coach's abilities for leadership are unaffected, though.

Sports psychologist
Sports psychologists Increase confidence and, to a much smaller degree, team spirit.

Spokesperson
Spokespersons improve sponsors mood, and, to a much smaller degree, supporter mood.

Economist
Economists allow you to earn interest on your money if you have a large surplus in the bank, or reduce your debts if you are too far in the red

Physiotherapist
Physiotherapists reduce the chance of getting a player injuried.

Doctor
Doctors help injured players rehabilitate faster.
