Stamina is absolutely vital for any players. Many managers consider anything below solid stamina as a waste of resources in a league or cup game.

If a player does not have enough stamina, a serious drop in his performance will be noticed, particularly during the second half of matches. You will notice his drop in performance in his stars rating. The total number of stars shows his average performance during the game, while the number of yellow stars shows his performance at the end of the game. So the more grey stars, the more performance is lost due to low stamina.

In addition to this main use, stamina is somewhat important to avoid some negative Special Event and it is very important when using the Pressing tactics.

You can decide what percentage of your normal training to dedicate to stamina (minimum 5%), the amount needed to maintain a certain level of stamina depends on the age of the players. Stamina training efficiency will drop at higher intensity level, it´s better to train a little every week than a lot now and then.

Midfield Stamina Effect
The following percentage gives the impact of stamina on the midfield rating for a player with the same form/experience/playmaking rating.

Stamina Percentage
Sponsorship money is one of the sources of income for a Hattrick team.

How much sponsorship money a team will receive depends on the mood of the team's sponsors, the size of fan club and the league level it's in. The mood of the sponsors is influenced by two factors: how well the team fares in competitive matches and, much more importantly, the amount of spokespersons working for the team. The mood of sponsors is much less prone to fluctuations than supporter mood.

Sponsors are one of the major sources of income for relatively new teams as other sources of income, such as match ticket sales and training, take more time to bring in significant amounts of money.

Sponsors are happier and pay your club more money if they have spokespersons they can talk/listen to. Research in the newbie (English) conference suggests that optimal number of spokespersons is around 1 per 250 fans. But it might be useful to temporarily hire more than optimal at the start of the season to recover sponsor mood quicker from the reset.

Warning: More than 10 spokepersons will make your sponsors mood drop.

Pros
* Able to train more players (max 10) than Crossing (max 4 at 100% + 4 at 50%).
* Tailor made for producing Forward Toward Wing (FTW).
* Does away with the troublesome and usually unprofitable Wingback training position.

Cons
* As a new training regime, details about Wing attacks training are still unclear.
* Trains wingers slower than Crossing.
* Market for main product, FTWs, is uncertain.
* Need to play X-X-3 formations with 2 wingers to maximise training. Such a formation may not be competitive, esp in midfield.
* Able to train more players (max 10) than Crossing (max 4 at 100% + 4 at 50%).
* Tailor made for producing Forward Toward Wing (FTW).
* Does away with the troublesome and usually unprofitable Wingback training position.

Cons
* As a new training regime, details about Wing attacks training is still unclear.
* Trains wingers slower than Crossing.
* Market for main product of Wing attacks training, FTWs, is uncertain.
* Need to play X-X-3 formations with 2 wingers to maximise training. Such a formation may not be competitive, esp in midfield.

Shingen:

Sometimes players get injured and there is not a lot you can do about it. Even if a team has many physiotherapists, injuries do still occur.

The time for injuries to heal ranges from +1 to +9 (note that the + sign represents the red cross you can see in HT if a player is injured). Note that allthough the injury time is displayed in weeks, the actual healing time may vary. This is primarely dependent on the age of the player. The older he gets, the longer it will take to heal. The weeks displayed are just a standarized indication of the severeness of the injury.
You can hire doctors to speed up the healing process. Physiotherapists will help players prevent injuries in the first place.

A player can not play as long as he's injured and his name will show up red in the match orders screen. If you do try to field him anyway, he will be replaced by a substitute as soon as the match begins.
When he's close to recovery (+1) he is able to follow training, but he can't appear in matches yet. Once he's really almost recovered he gets a bandage next to his name instead of the red plus. Now he can play matches again and his name will show up black again in the match orders screen, but he will perfom slightly below his capacities. Once the bandage is removed he's back to his old level, that is if he didn't get a major form crisis in the meantime.

Several sites and helper applications offer tables or calculators to predict how long an injury will take to heal. Here are some popular sites (only the first one is able to give useful results if you want to employ more than ten docs):
*Advanced Injury Calculator
*Kawasaki Tigers - Injury Healing Time Prediction Tool
*X-ray - Healing

This site tells you how long you can expect a player to be injured based on the injury text in the match report.
*Hattrick Injury Database

Connection between TSI and displayed length of injury
There is a connection between the number of weeks Hattrick displays for an injury and the TSI a player has.

number of weeks=10*(1-tsi2/tsi1)

where tsi1: TSI when player is not injured (so usually at the time directly before the injury, let's say e.g. 9310)
tsi2: TSI now (e.g. 7000)

Hattrick would then display a +2. Injuries have a sublevel so it is actually between 2.47 to 2.49 as TSI has a granularity of 10. You should be aware that tsi1 is only known if there is no form change or training after the player was last healthy.

Player Personality
Every player has a personality which can be broken down into four subsections. For the purpose of this page, we will refer to these four subsections as leadership, agreeability, honesty and aggressiveness.

Leadership and Agreeability
These two attributes are linked, and play a role in team spirit and determining who the team leader is at a given club.
Leadership is given a rating of either disastrous, wretched, poor, weak, inadequate, passable or solid.
When used in conjunction with the agreeability of a player, and examined across the whole of a team squad, it is possible to determine which player is the team leader.

Always a matter for debate on the conferences, it is considered that a player who is the team leader and has high leadership can affect team spirit.

Agreeability is also measured on a scale, and the categories are:
* popular
* sympathetic
* pleasant
* controversial
* nasty

It is generally accepted that popular players will affect team spirit in a positive way (by slowing the fall of team spirit to the default level), whilst nasty players will affect team spirit in a negative way (by increasing the speed of fall of team spirit to the default level).

There is also one other category of agreeability, and exists only in one player - Bob Sunesson.
This player is described as a beloved team member, and is considered to be above popular in stature.

Honesty
This attribute of a players personality determines the chances of a player getting booked for diving in order to gain a freekick or penalty for his team.
The more honest a player is, the less likely he is to get booked.

Honesty can be measured on a scale, and the categories are:
* Infamous
* Dishonest
* Honest
* Upright
* Righteous
Research has gone into this aspect of players personalities - unfortunately I cannot remember which conference or user this originated from in hattrick. (Please someone edit this article in order to give the credit for this research!).

Overview
Every team needs an arena where they can play their home matches. Your job is to build your arena as big as needed, but not to build it too big, because you must pay every week to keep your arena in shape. There are four types of stands:
* Terraces (most spectators will come to these so build these most),
* Regular seats (spectators who want some comfort when watching game buys these, these are second most used so build these a lot too),
* Seats under the roof (these are for people who want see match as comfortable as possible, still relatively a lot of spectators buys tickets for these seats),
* Seats in VIP lounge (only important spectators, like sponsors use these seats, thus you need to build only few of these)

Default distribution
Total capacity:
12000
Terraces:
8000
Basic seating:
3000
Seats under roof:
1000
Seats in VIP boxes:
0

How to build
Costs of expansion
Terraces:
60 €
Basic seating:
100 €
Seats under roof:
120 €
Seats in VIP boxes:
400 €

There is also an additional fee of 10,000 € every time you expand, no matter how many seats you add.

Stadium Expansion Theories
When building your Arena you might want to use one of the helper applications to get the arena done with the right amount of seats. Or just apply proportion of seats somewhere near 62% / 25% / 10% / 3%.

Your stadium is an expensive long-term investment, which will take around two seasons to pay for itself at best. It is generally better to improve your stadium in small steps (say 2000 to 4000), and only if you will be able to fill those additional places in the majority of your up-coming matches.

Teams on a bad run may not see home crowds anything as good as the 20x fan-club indicator mentioned often in guides. Your home crowds for league/cup games can be as low as 10x or 15x fan club size if you and your opponent are in low league positions and on bad runs and the weather is poor. This is particularly the case if you are in a low division populated by inactive teams. The often mentioned upper indicator of 30x fan-club size is much more accurate for teams in the upper divisions, where all teams are likely to have large fan clubs.

Shingen:

The HAM Transfer Price Evaluation is based upon a database of previous transfers. To use the functionality, you must allow for your transfers, players bought and sold, to be uploaded in an anonymized format, to the HAM server.

The HAM Transfer Price Evaluation is done by HAM sending the stats of your players to the database at the HAM server (these player data are not saved). The server then looks for similar players being transfered in the past. If more transferes are found, the median transfer priced is returned to HAM, as well as a count on the number of transfers found. Currently all players are matched against transfers from the last 8 weeks.

When matching a player against a transfer, the server starts by determining the "main-player-type". This is done by taking the highest of the main skills: Playmaking, Scoring, Defending, Winger and Keeper. If two or more of these skills are equal, the player is determined to be the first of those, in the order listed above. Each of these "main-player-types" are then matched on their main skill (exact match) and on different sub-skills like this:

The Playmaker:
Stamina +/- 1
Passing greater than weak (true or false)
Defending greater than weak (true or false)
Winger greater than weak (+/- 2 or false)
The Scorer:
Passing greater than weak (+/- 1 or false)
Playmaking greater than weak (true or false)
The Defender:
Winger greater than weak (+/- 1 or false)
Playmaking greater than weak (true or false)
Passing greater than inadequate (+/- 1 or false)
The Winger/Wing Back:
Playmaking greater than weak (+/- 1 or false)
Passing greater than weak (+/- 1 or false)
Defending greater than weak (+/- 1 or false)
The Keeper:
Only matched on main skill.
All players:
Set Pieces greater than Inadequate (+/- 2 or false)
Age <= 19 exact match
19 < Age <= 24 +/- 1
24 < Age < 30 +/- 2
Age >= 30 (true or false)
Example:
Joe Midfielder
Stamina Passable Keeper Disastrous
Playmaking Formidable Passing Solid
Winger Weak Defending Poor
Scoring Solid Set Pieces Passable
First Joe Midfielder is determined to be a playmaker type. The match will be done on all transfers of players with precisely formidable playmaking. Stamina is relevant regardless of skill, so only transfers of players with stamina inadequate-solid will be matched (passable +/- 1). Joe Midfielders Winger skill is too low to be taken into account, so only players with Winger skill below inadequate will be matched. Joe Midfielder has solid scoring, but since he can't use scoring with playmaking, and he has been determined to be a playmaker, the scoring is completely ignored. Passing is above weak, so transfers of players with passing above weak will be matched. Defending must be below inadequate to match. And since Set Pieces is above inadequate, it is supposed to influence the price, so matches must have Set Pieces between weak and formidable (passable +/- 2).
