I think Taiwan should be called Taiwan. The fact the HTs called it Chinese Taipei (for an explanation see [[HT's on Global/Chinese Taipei]] doesn't change the fact the Taiwanese community would like to have called it Taiwan, and that's what should be the relevant factor here. --[[User:larsw84|larsw84]]

Shyrlden, please comment, why you think that "resize on most pages looks shit". In my opinion it's bad desing to leave it unscaled. the problem is that small images will be also rescaled to 200 Px (e.g. [[Uppland]], [[München]], [[Raanana]], [[Eilat]], [[Denizli]], [[Izmir]]/ with all thoose 100+x empty pages now, i can't find more examples without spending a hour for searching :(). Exist a way that only too large images will be rescaled and smaller ones keep their size?

ok, i added a new parameter, please add the following line in your infobox. You can also reduce the size, eg. 200px if you want. Without the line the image will be displayed in original size. I hope that helps.

Though the domain was bought in May 2003 it wasn't until January 2004 that the first article / community site was built. Suedish (Mikael Almstedt) and [[Spinsis]] (Oscar Karlsten) are the owners and webmasters of the site, and it was Suedish who posted the first article written about football on January 30 - 2004. During this time the site was no more than a fringe where the webmasters could post articles about any random subject. The site started out covering every angle from movies to NHL hockey, it wasn't until later that the decision to focus on [http://www.hattrick.org Hattrick] and (from the beginning) mainly Sports was made. Today the sites main focus is on [http://www.hattrick.org Hattrick] and [http://www.ione.se/news.php?cat.6 Football] even though other sports are also covered when time is given.

At first the site was in swedish only and was most recognized for its deep [http://www.ione.se/content.php?article.cat.178 interviews] with famous swedish hattrickers. A small selection of people who have been interviewed; [[DrDDD]] (Inter Sthlm), [[Geddan]] (Gäddträsket), Livergarden (IFK Livergården), Loke ([http://wiki.hattrick.org/Hattrick_Assistant_Manager HAM] Creator) and the latest MOD-Tonkan83. On the 4th of October 2004 the site made a pretty big breakthrough as it was accepted as [[AHP]] by the [[GM]]:s. This was a breakthrough because it was feedback from the [[GM]]:s that they wanted the site around and this also made it possible for the webmasters to deliver articles and news via the actual hattrick site. Of course, with the possibility to do this the site could reach every swedish manager within the game.

In January 2005 that the first multilingual interface launched. This was the first time that non-swedes could actually browse the site and know their way around. With the multilingual interface came also the possibility to submit AHP posts to the Global directory, which made it possible to reach international readers with english articles. It was obvious that the foreign readers also wanted to read the information that was provided.

In match reports, you can see what events happened in a particular match. All [[scoring opportunities]], [[injury|injuries]] and [[cards]] are reported here. [[Possession]] percentages in the 45th and the 90th minute, Tactics [[ratings]] and sector [[ratings]] for both teams appear when the match is finished.

If you click on player ratings under a team name at the right, you can see how well each player played in that match, shown in [[stars]]. If the match is ongoing, the ratings will be absent, and only the events that have happened so far are displayed. Those watching their matches on HT-Live (Link) will see the latest events appear roughly minute-by-minute in red text. Many players love almost nothing as much as the appearance of new 'red text':)

There are a number of other ways to 'watch' your match(es) live. These are being improved by volunteer programmers regularly.

Bear in mind that for the first 5-10minutes of a live game no information will arrive, which is normal.

Conferences in Hattrick are a place where you can discuss the game, ask and answer questions, talk about nearly everything, and most importantly, make friends. The conferences are where the [[community]] interacts and it is one of the main reasons to play Hattrick for many people.

In the best interest of you and all other players, please read the [[Conference Rules]] before posting on the conferences. This also goes for the specific federation conferences.

Each federation conference may have different rules, or none at all; although the federations aren't allowed to use stickies to tell all their members about these rules. Try to always search for the 'read this first', 'rules', or 'important stuff' thread before posting anything anywhere. There are thousands of such federations in Hattrick, where managers can discuss anything at all in relative privacy (within reason).

The most active conference forum is HT-Global. In this English only forum, you will find Hattrick-specific discussions ranging from current World Cups through rules interpretations to discussions on specific [[well known players]], like [[Bob Sunesson]]. Some thread topics come up up periodically: "We need a [[Champions League]]", "[[Day trading]] is [[Evil]]", "[[Transfer Compare]] is Ruining HT". and variations on "[[How'd I Loose?]]". Often people just laugh at the [[Funny names]] or type [[I'm Agree]]. On a more serious note, members of the [[Hattrick Team]] also often [[HT's on Global|comment]] on Global.

On many forums, the regulars frown upon excessive use of [[Txt spk]]

Before the current internal hattrick conference system was created, people used the offsite forum [[Delphikonferensen]].

Always remember to search each conference for similar threads as two competing thread starters will be disappointed when one of the threads is closed.

sorry, but i think you don't get it (at least my statement). There was a similar problem with some isreali articles some days ago (common isreali club prefixes). The difference was that those pages were deleted immediately without a talk. HT-wiki is a global page and you can't except that the HT-users outside the US understand the original article. As i said i have no problem with the page if it's not offensive for non US-conference readers. Hopefully my point is understandable now. case closed for me.

A popular thing to do in friendly matches is [[flag chasing]], where you visit a new country every week.

For clubs of the lowest division in large leagues (e.g. [[Netherlands]], [[Spain]], [[Sweden]] or [[Germany]]) are international friendlies (away) not recommendable. The travelling costs will be higher as the spectator income of the match. That teams should make friendly matches against higher division teams of the own country or international friendlies in their own stadions. The economic effect is here also important.

== History ==

This club first came into existence on September 23, 2000. It was when the [[Hattrick]] world decided to expand into the [[United States]] at the start of the eleventh season. It was founded and placed in division IV.37 and initially controlled by a computer. The club took the name of Missouri to show the region it represented at the time. In June of 2001 a human owner was granted license for the club and changed their name to legend. This owner quickly lost interest and the club was again made available for an active user. On July 21, 2001 the user lostorf put a bid in for the club. He was granted ownership on July 24, 2001 and promptly moved them to his hometown of Fort Collins, Colorado. The club took the name of the local river and became the Cache la Poudre Raters. The owner initially intended for the club to be known as the Rafters, but a mistake at the printing offices and probably poor penmanship the team was tagged as Raters. This name didn't generate a strong identity for the local fans so the name was changed in September of 2001. So there would be no confusion, the name was mostly changed and became AC Poudre Rafters. It is the name the team still retains.
