Career
Brian Baxendale was bought by the Mounties United on the eleventh week of Season 3. He Immediately made an impact on the wing and in the early years of HT-Canada was held as one of the best offensive wingers. He was selected in Team Canada for the second World Cup in Argentina, although he played 10 preparative matches, he didn't get the chance to play WC matches. Thereafter he was removed from the Selection, and kept playing for the Mounties United. He helped the team getting into the All Canadian and reach a 3rd Position in season 5. At the end of Season 8, after banishment of Mounties United from the league, Brian Baxendale retired from professional football.

Personal Life
No player has made such an impact on HT-Canada as Baxendale's, and in such a short span of time. Coming out of the blue, Baxendale nearly forced himself into the National Team. His involvement in the Football community was huge, organizing afterhour parties and Galas was his hobby - Quickly he became an Icon in HT-Canada both for his instant success and for his undebatable title of 'Seductor'. Some argue that it would all have spawned from that 3-3 draw of Mounties United against Edmonton Vikings in Season 5, where Baxendale would have openly boasted about having 'affairs' with Herman Ife's Wife - the statements were never confirmed, however it brought a lot of coverage for Baxendale. In that same season, as the Mounties United had promoted to the All Canadian, Baxendale founded BaxenLooks to gain utter respect from his fans (aka Baxenholics). After the banishment of Mounties United, to which he openly spoke against, he focused full-time on BaxenLooks. At the dawn of Season 12, Brian Baxendale renewed the contract of Mounties United in the Canadian League and became Head Manager of the Club - promising success and parties. In Season 14, after a brutal exit from professional football, Fabio Salvatore was promoted to Co-Manager within BaxenLooks along with Brian. As days go by, Brian Baxendale slowly fades into the background of an ever-growing Canadian scene, but no canadian is ignorant to the name of one Shining star who shaped HT-Canada.
Offensive defenders tactic

Skeeter dan: /* Effectiveness */

What is it?
Norwegian tactic (also called simply "Norway" or "Norge") concentrates on boosting midfield and/or attack at expense of defence. The idea behind this tactics is simple as inequality: 5 > (10-6), meaning: if you'll get 6 out of 10 chances there are in every match, and you will score from at least 5 of them, you will win the match even if your opponent scores from every chance he gets. In other words, if your possesion is big enough to get you 6 chances in a match and your attacks are good enough to convert those chances into goals, you need no defence at all. So if giving up defence will give you such midfield and attacks, then it is a logical thing to do.

Why is it called "Norwegian?"
The name of this tactic derives from famous final match (MatchID: 14287675) of World Cup IV, played on 29.02.2004, in which Norway beat Sweden 4-2 (it was the only World Cup not won by Sweden so far). Norwegian NT coach Snylte used the following line-up:

This was in reality not the first match in which Norwegian tactic was used, only the most famous one. The oldest Norwegian tactic matches I know, were played on 29.10.2003 (friendly, MatchID: 9958212) and 12.11.2003 (cup, MatchID: 12860969) - 4 months before the World Cup final - and there are probably even older ones (please submit them if you find them).

Norwegian tactic vs. all out tactic
Norwegian tactic is often mistaken with "classic" all out tactic, which concentrates on boosting midfield (possesion), even at expense of attack (for example playing both wingers toward middle), but they're really not the same. The following table summerises the differences between them.
| The idea
If you score 5 goals while opponent can only score 4, you need no defence, you'll win anyway.
If you gain all the chances in the game the opponent won't score and with so many chances you must score something even with weak attack.
align="left" width="400px" |
a) Strong midfield (possesion >44%) with central defence (if opponent is playing AIM) or both wing defences (if AOW/normal) stronger then opponents attacks.
b) All defences much, much stronger than his attacks, counter attack.
Boosting central defence, CA and/or possesion >39%.

Effectiveness
While the changes in the game engine that increased the importance of defence - especially the introduction of CA and defensive coaches - severely hindered the effective use of all out tactic, the Norwegian tactic is still successfuly used by many managers.
The main purpose of regions is to promote a sense of "belonging." For larger countries especially, having your own home region supposedly improves your HT-experience. In actual testing, the change is minimal.
History
Herman Ife was promoted in Season 3, as Edmonton Vikings had joined the highest level of competition in Canada. One month later, Ed Cant would be promoted and they would pair up front for a long time within the Vikings Organization. Ife appeared in the first U-20 World Cup in Deutschland where he gained a lot of experience, to ultimately join the National side in the third World Cup in Nederland. He paired up front with numerous Star players, even though they all left at some point, Ife stayed in the lineup for the next four World Cups. At the term of the seventh World Cup in China, Herman Ife is turning 30yrs old, with more than a divine experience, and passable leadership. His spot in the National Team will be harder to keep. Regardless that makes him the most capped HT-player.

Personal Life
Herman Ife quickly got introduced in the 'Star System' of HT-Canada, he was largely publicized and branded as the new Super Star, even though still under 20 yrs old. And he wouldn't hide his overconfidence and cocksure attitude. Club owner MattyJ blindly bragged about his two forwards up front, predicting glory and fame for both. Although some fishy controversial 'Affair' between Ife's Wife and National Legend Brian Baxendale (even though still unclear), one can't deny the near-perfect career of Herman Ife and his overall HT fame. Some say that he will be coaching the Edmonton Vikings in a couple years.
