			Gush Dan (Gooh-Sh Dahn Hebrew: גּוּשׁ דָּן) is the name of the [[Tel Aviv]] metropolitan area including areas from both the Tel Aviv District and the Central District of [[Israel]] on the Mediterranean coast.

	~~שקט~~		It is the largest metropolitan area in Israel, with a population of approximately 1.75 million. It is divided into an inner and an outer layer.

			The inner layer includes Tel Aviv, Bat Yam, [[Holon]], [[Ramat Gan]], Givatayim, Bene Beraq, [[Herzliya]], Or Yehuda and Kiryat Ono, as well as a multitude of towns (local municipalities).

			The outer layer includes Petah Tikva, Hod Hasharon, Kfar Saba, Raanana, Yehud, Ramla, Lod, Rishon Lezion, Nes Ziyyona and Rehovot, as well as a multitude of towns (local municipalities).

			Gush Dan also has its own bus transportation company, the Dan Bus Cooperative, which is the equivalent of Egged, Israel's biggest bus company, and the 2nd biggest in the world.

			The name Gush Dan means "Dan Block", and is so named because the area was the territory of the tribe of Dan in the ancient Kingdom of Israel.
