It was an exceptionally sunny day for the crowd of 5371 that came out to Massalia Stadium. Massalia had chosen a strategic 3-4-3 formation. The following players took the field: Peychev - Platzer, Joosten, Ferreira - Koppe, Runesson, Sorokins, Dralez - Cabanyes, Faltz, Szőke.

Mathematics tactics involved an interesting 5-3-2 combination. The following players took the field: Hengjie - Yue Shun, Chong Boon, Chong Wai, Kościółek, Thien Hu - Juh shiun, Xiaoping, Guan Hee - Kwong, Nota.

For their match strategy, Mathematics had decided to use their ability to counter-attack whenever possible. Javier Cabanyes gave his Massalia the lead with 1 - 0, as he successfully challenged the guests' central defenders, then placed the ball unreachably at the keeper's right post. Massalia added another goal to their lead as Endre Szőke struck home the 2 - 0 goal after an attack from the left set him up unmarked in front of the keeper. Confident in their lead, Massalia decided to play a more defensive game at this point. The corner kick from Harijs Sorokins set Marijn Joosten up perfectly, as he soared to meet the ball, heading it in for 3-0. A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Massalia's Günter Platzer putting the lead up to 4 - 0. In the 38th minute of the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as Günter Platzer dashed through, knocking home 5 - 0 for Massalia. Massalia's Javier Cabanyes was delighted to score the 6 - 0 goal after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper and into the net, following some good attacking movement on the right wing in the 40th minute. 6 - 0 was the score after the first half. This half belonged to Massalia, who controlled the ball 93 percent of the time.

In the 73rd minute of the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as Javier Cabanyes dashed through, knocking home 7 - 0 for Massalia. That made three goals for Javier Cabanyes and he was marked down for the hat trick. Marijn Joosten gave Massalia supporters even more to cheer about when he increased the lead to 8 - 0 after 76 minutes, following a good exchange of passes on the right that the away team failed to deal with. Massalia's Harijs Sorokins was shown a yellow card after 76 minutes for slicing down an opponent. Things were going to get worse for the visitors. Ralf Faltz squirmed himself through their central defence in the 81st minute, bringing the lead to 9 - 0. In the 85th minute, Massalia put themselves up 10 - 0 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to Günter Platzer, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the 'keeper and knock the ball home. That was his third goal of the match - a hat trick for Günter Platzer. Massalia, bringing their ball possession to 95 percent, dominated the battle.

The most dominating Massalia player was without a doubt Pierre-Arnaud Dralez. However, Artur Ferreira made a disastrous appearance. Most important Mathematics player was Zhang Juh shiun. Li Guan Hee turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 10 - 0.
