There was some debate over the effectiveness of this tactic, with some trainers feeling it is not as effective as the rules suggest.

Because of a bug, the attack on wings tactic has up until now been less effective than originally planned. This bug, which was very hard to discover and has even managed to slip through our sharp eyes in previous checks, has now at last been found and fixed. As a result, attack on wings will from now on be more effective than before. Exactly how effective it will be depends on your tactical skill (as always).

This bug fix will be in effect from today's matches on.
