Die KSG Borbetomagus Pfiffligheim-Hochheim ist ein Fußballklub aus Worms. KSG steht hierbei für "Kultur- und Sportgemeinschaft". Der Name Borbetomagus stammt vom keltischen Namen für die Stadt Worms, und bedeutete "Feld am Borbeta".

Die Klubheimat ist die Vangionenarena am Borbeta. Sie befindet sich in der nähe des Pfrimmparks zwischen Pfiffligheim and Hochheim (Rhein).

Club colours and symbols

Wappen

Der Kreis mit den angedeuteten Kreuzlinien und seiner grünen Farbe bezieht sich auf die keltische Geschichte der Stadt Worms, genauso wie die orangene Linie im Hintergrund. Grün- und Orangefarbton sind exakt so gewählt wie dies die irische Republik für ihre Flagge tat.

Die Symbole im Kreis sind die blaue "Wolfssense" des Pfiffligheimer Wappens sowie der Helm des Hochheimer Wappens. Die Sterne auf der Kreislinie sind ebenso Teil des Pfiffligheimer Wappens.

Farben

Die Heimtrikots und die Kreisfarben des KSG-Wappens sind ein Verweis auf die Beziehung von Klub und Stadt zu ihren keltischen Wurzeln. Die Farbkombination rot-gold-blau wiederum sind eine Mischung der Farben der Wappen von Hochheim und Pfiffligheim. Beides findet man regelmäßig unter den Fans des Vereins.

Sponsoren

Da innerhalb der kurzen Zeit zwischen Idee und Verwirklichung der Teilnahme an der noch laufenden Saison kein Sponsor sich selbst als "der" Hauptsponsor herauskristallisierte, entschied man sich, freiwillig Farben Wiegand aus Worms-Hochheim zu unterstützen durch die Plazierung ihres Logos auf den Trikots für den Rest der Saison.

Club History

The first season

The club's history began as successor to the 1. FC Lungenkrebs in the X.4010 league of Germany. The team entered the competition ranked 2nd, runners-up to ASV Waldsassen with a margin of 3 points; 2 games remained until the season was complete. In the final match they would meet their direct competitor.
