Frank Frederix (Gent, Belgium) was a Belgian football trainer. He was the first trainer of SVV Red Star Gent, before he retired on November 5th 2009.
Trainers' Career
Frederix started training the team when it was still playing in the Keizerspark in Ghent. He became a fulltime coach after the official foundation of the team. Frederix is known for his ability to have an attacking playing style, whilst still being able to keep a good organisation in the team.
On November 5th 2009, Frank Frederix retired as coach of Red Star Gent, and became a football scout. He wanted to spent more time with his wife and children. His successor was French coach Sylvestre Mougin.
Personal Life
Frank Frederix is married to Julia Vandenbossche, and is father of two teenager daughters: Marijke and Beatrijs.
