Frederick Eeckman (Gent, Belgium, born Season 49) is a Belgian football player who actualy plays for SVV Red Star Brussels. He is a Forward. His nickname is "De Vos", ("The Fox"), because of his speed and his red hair.
Youth Player
Eeckman was recruited by Red Star Brussels at 16 years old, and evolved in their youth club Rode Sterretjes Brussels. His potential as a quick striker became immediately clear, even if he wasn't destined to become a long-term player for the team.
Frederick was promoted to the first team during season 66, and became part of the attackers training plan.
Career at SVV Red Star Brussels
Eeckman was initially recruited to the team as a trainee that would be sold later. This changed however when Red Star Brussels decided to become a home-grown team. Future striker prospect Will de Schietere was too old for this, and his future first-team place was given to Eeckman and Ruud Lison: Frederick would now become a key player in the future of the team, a first-team attacker.
