He used to play with Emilio Hernández and Jorge Díez making a fearsome midfield, both in Tamariz and the Spanish National Team and achieving a big prize shelf.
On June 4, 2004 his made his debut in the Spanish National Team and he was one of the players who reached the final in World Cup VII and the semifinal in World Cup VIII.
