Logo of Lebanon

Lebanon (لبنان‎, Lubnān in Arabic, République libanaise in French) is a Near East Asian country. It was the 100th nation to join the Hattrick World.

Geography.png Despite its small size, the near 8 milion inhabitants of the Lebanese Republic (Arabic: الجمهورية اللبنانية‎, al-Jumhūriyyah al-Lubnāniyyah) are well renowned for the cultural influence both in the Arab world and globally. Its capital, Beirut, attracted many tourists before the 1975 Lebanese Civil War.
Lebanon was conquered by the Ottomans in the 16th century and remained under the rule for the next 400 years. Modern Lebanon came under the French Mandate and obtained independence in 1943.

History

  • Lebanese league exists since 18 September 2005. It is one of the six new leagues for global season 27.
