Lithuania (Lietuva in local language) is a Northern European country. It was the 57th nation to join the Hattrick World.

The Republic of Lithuania has an estimated population of 2.8 million people and its capital and largest city is Vilnius.
Kingdom of Lithuania was created on 6 July 1253. During the 14th century, the Grand Duchy of Lithuania was the largest country in Europe. In 1795 the Russian Empire annexing most of territory. Independence was signed on 16 February 1918, but after World War II, Soviets re-occupation established the Lithuania SSR. On 11 March 1990 Lithuania became the first Baltic state to declare itself independent.

History

• Lithuanian league has existed since the 8 July 2003. It was created, along with other five new nations, in global season 20 (starting with 168 teams).
• The country was restarted after an error. Due to the error, what appears as season 2 is in fact season 1, season 3 is season 2, etc. For example, the displayed season 36 was the 35th season played (note that the strange data behave is not corrected in the National trophies table below).
• Lithuania has not hosted any World Cup yet.
