Lokman Bekdemir (Rotterdam, Nederland, born Season 28) is a Dutch former football player and current coach, who is the current coach of Rode Ster Paramaribo. As a player, he was a Defender and Wingback.
Bekdemir was recruited from the youth scouting network of his local Rotterdam team Bierdupkes in season 46, but never played there: he was transferred immediately to Dopey85 in Italy, where he would receive his first training. He even managed to play a few first-team matches, before he was transferred to Lespoypoy in France.
Bekdemir really broke through as a first team player at the end of season 47, at his new team Lespoypoy in Lyon, France. He played a few matches in that season, and celebrated promotion to 7th division in season 48, only to relegate again to 8th division two seasons later. Season 50, a season in which he played less then before, his team promoted again to 7th division, and two seasons later, even to 6th division.
Although Lokman Bekdemir never broke through as a certainty for the first team, he managed to play the majority of the matches of the first team throughout seasons 51 to 53, mostly as a winger. At the end of that season, he increasingly got replaced by new, younger recruit, until he was finally sold in early season 55.
Lokman Bekdemir moved to TS Roger in Wrocław, Poland, where he would immediately become a key player on the wing. The team had been freshly promoted to division VII, and Bekdemir helped them immediately to a 3th place in the division, and a promotion playoff that was narrowly lost. The very next season, Bekdemir helped secure a 2nd place and immediate promotion to division 6, the season afterwards he helped the team win the demotion playoff after finishing 5th in division VI.438.
During season 59, Bekdemir was retrained to start playing as a wingback, instead of as a winger. His team perfectioned counter tactics, and Bekdemir's speed, tactical insight and accurate passing made him a perfect match on the right wing back. He continued on that position as a first team player until late season 61, and was sold at the beginning of season 62.
Portugal and Switzerland
Bekdemir was transferred to Ballbuben Bleienbach in Bleienbach, Switzerland, but would only play one single game there before being transferred outside Europe, to newly refounded Rode Ster Paramaribo.
