Egypt (ﻣﺼﺮ‎ Misr in Arabic) is an African country. It was the 31st nation to join the Hattrick World.

The Arab Republic of Egypt is a transcontinental country. It is the most populous country in North Africa, the Middle East, and the Arab world with over 100 million inhabitants, the most living across the densely populated centres of greater Cairo, Alexandria and other major cities in the Nile Delta.
Ancient Egypt has one of the longest histories, tracing its heritage back to the 6th–4th millennia BCE. Iconic monuments reflect this legacy today and remain an integral part of national identity. Egypt was an early and important centre of Christianity, but was largely Islamised in the seventh century and remains a predominantly Muslim country.
Modern Egypt dates back to 1922, when it gained nominal independence from the British Empire. The country continues to face challenges, from political unrest, including the recent 2011 revolution.

History

• The country exists since May 2001 (global season 13).
• Egypt had initially 15 regions, but the regional partition was completely changed and extended to 20 (season 33?).
• The local league was extended to five divisions before the beginning of national season 21.
• Egypt hosted U-20 World Cup IV (global season 22).

The Egyptian NT U-20 qualify for the event and reached round III.
