The U-20 Nippon national team represents Japan in international friendlies and the U-20 World Cup.

Junior National Team History

U-20 team managed to get to the second round of the World Cup only once.

• In the qualifications of U-20 World Cup IX the team succeeded in finishing at 2nd spot behind Danmark and ahead of Sverige and Chile. In the last 32 stage Nippon's U-20 was able to beat Nederland, but suffered losses from England and Slovenija and got eliminated eventually.
