Random will always pick you

Random is a mysterious force in Hattrick. It is the biggest nightmare and the greatest joy for managers: it can give you big wins or just make fun of you. Believe in it, be afraid of it, enjoy it!

The Dark Omen

The HTRF (Hattrick Random Factor) is worshiped by all those who win impossible games, and blamed by all those who whine for undeserved defeats.

"The finger of Random" can arise in many situations, but it reveals itself in certain aspects of the game in particular:

• When the Counter Attack of your weaker opponent is working just great.
• A game is tied and a Special Event breaks the balance... and the opponent wins.
• The goalkeeper's form collapses during last training before the most important match of this season.
• The scout offers you always the a wrong random player in youth academy... while your series opponents are making real money with promoted players.
• You are playing AIM and your team gets all chances on the weaker wing side.

Solutions

1. Become the Chilean coach. Chile NT is stronger than random!
2. Think that 2009 new match engine promises to fight unbalanced results to reduce variance (what some call random, HT-Tjecken said). So, in the early day it was much worst.
3. Understand that there is a random factor in play. Expect unexpected results ... they are part of HT's life.

Random is what nails you in the chair hoping to win your sixth round of the cup against the first in the standings in top division with your miserable, silly and smelly club of the last category. Can you deny someone hope? even against all odds? Do you really want to stop the last of losers from shouting his joy at least once for an unexpected victory? What would we be without hope? without HTRF?

So, managers, don't despair when you lose with better ratings, don't write on the forum: "Why did I lose?", "Swedish &#*%$!", "Shitty game, I leave you!!!". Accept the defeat and be happy, because it means that the game works!
