Hattrick International Season 5, or Global Season 68, was the fifth season in which Red Star Tunis participated. They played in League IV.37.

Season Synopsis[edit]

Shirts[edit]

Red Star Tunis continued with the second of a six-season series of special edition shirts that commemorate shirts worn by the favourite teams of manager Lunacharsky, each in a setting referring to a special period in those teams' history. In season 67, they used the shirts AFC Wimbledon used in the season 2015-16; the year of their promotion to League One after winning playoffs.

Stadium[edit]

The Red Star Tunis stadium, the Stade Karl Marx, kept its original capacity of 43.000 seats, and was not modified. At the end of the season however, works started to enlarge the stadium to 57.000 seats.

Season Summary[edit]

In the competition, Tunis did well. They had a draw in their first game and subsequently won the next five, remaining at the second position for the whole of the season. The matches against WH Int in the middle of the season were the only ones they lost. Red Star Tunis finished second, behind champions WH Int.

In the Cup, Red Star Tunis reached the third round, in which they were eliminated by Maccabi d'eNcantar from Andorra. They continued in the Sapphire Cup afterwards, but were eliminated in the third round against FC Royal Bern III.
