Şerban Predescu (Deva,  România) is a Romanian football player who actualy plays for FSV 20 Sargstedt. He is a Midfielder.

Early career

Predescu started his career at 15 at his local team Minerul Lupeni. He soon became a central figure in the youth team of that club. He became known for his clear football insight. During Season 39, Şerban Predescu promoted to the first team, but played no games before his transfer to FC Zipfelklatscher.

Playing in Germany

Predescu left Romania during season 39, when he was transferred to the German team FC Zipfelklatscher for a transfer sum of 18 000€. His stay was very short, because it became soon clear that his new team was only interested in making a lot of money out of him. Only a few weeks later, Predescu was told he no longer had a place in the team, because an other club in the Baden-Württemberg region, Karlsruhe Grastiger, had offered 111 111€ for the young Romanian midfielder. In Karlsruhe, Şerban Predescu played several friendly games, untill he was transferred at the beginning of Season 40 to Belgian team Red Star Brussels

Career at SVV Red Star Brussels

Şerban Predescu joined Red Star Brussels as a replacement for Torben Heyde Petersen, who was planning to leave the team. When Predescu arrived in Ghent, he immediatly was transferred to the first team. His first weeks in Ghent were not so succesfull: the first official match he played, Predescu received a red card for foul play. In the next friendly, he got seriously injured, and had to stay off the pitch for 6 weeks. After his injury, Şerban became a key player on the Red Star Brussels midfield.

Back to Germany

Şerban Predescu returned back to Germany during season 41, to play at FSV 20 Sargstedt. A transfer sum of 240 000€ was payed for him. He became a regular player for this team.

Personal Life

It is clear that Şerban Predescu lost a lot of confidence in the owners of football teams, after he clearly became nothing more then merchandise when he arrived in Germany. At Red Star Brussels, Predescu was told that his stay would not be eternal, but that he would receive a decent amount of official playing time. This immediatly provoced a strong enthousiasm with the young player. Predescu was able to put his carreer back on track in Ghent, and happily transfered back to Germany later to continue his carreer. He currently lives in a small appartment in Magdenburg.
