Is this article really neccessary?

I think not, especially not the first part. --Giggsip 20:12, 6 December 2005 (UTC)

Are any of them necessary? I didn't create the article, but I do find it amusing--as would most of us who often read the USA conference on HT. Besides, it's a wiki and it's not a question of necessity but of topicality and organization. This is plenty topical and doesn't affect this wiki's organization at all.

The problem as I see it is that n00b is a global term, but this article only reflects the USA conference joke of it.

Maybe it can be part of the user's page, but I don't see it as being a seperate value by itself. --Giggsip 20:18, 6 December 2005 (UTC)

agree. then he should make clear that he means US teams. There are enough IV. division series in the world that are stronger as an avarage US III. division. --Shyrlden 20:19, 6 December 2005 (UTC)

Newb is the global term, is it not? Anyway, the context has now been clarified. Besides, if you want to provide various definitions of n00b than edit it and add the appropriate headings.

Also, you should remember that it's not like anyone's categorized it as an important "game concept" or anything. It's pretty much sits alone, linked from only 2 or 3 contextual pages. --septimusjm

He said "n00b is a global term", not "n00b" is a global HT term. It is used one a lot of sites worldwide. (like 3l11t and other "cool" variants of words) I have no proplem with an extra page for that, but the context should be clear for every HT user.--Shyrlden 20:42, 6 December 2005 (UTC)

The context HAS been made clear. ---septimusjm

But isn't everything that is in this "hattrick wiki" inherently within the context of Hattrick? What is the point of declaring the obvious? Should one clarify that when they talk about the weather for their match that it was the Hattrick weather, and not the physical weather from where that user actually exists?--FryDog 20:45, 6 December 2005 (UTC)

It's okay, FryDog. Just nobody likes a joke they didn't come up with themselves. ;) ---septimusjm

sorry, but i think you don't get it (at least my statement). There was a similar problem with some isreali articles some days ago (common isreali club prefixes). The difference was that those pages were deleted immediately without a talk. HT-wiki is a global page and you can't except that the HT-users outside the US understand the original article. As i said i have no problem with the page if it's not offensive for non US-conference readers. Hopefully my point is understandable now. case closed for me. --Shyrlden 21:34, 6 December 2005 (UTC)
