Lathrop - current USA National Trainer and owner of II.4 club Blue Wave.

In his first term as National Trainer he led the USA NT to Round IV of World Cup VII, the team's highest finish in three World Cups. He is currently serving his second term as National Trainer of the USA.

Lathrop chose to MOTS Norge in Match 1 of Round III of World Cup VII in an often critiqued move. Though the US lost the next two matches, those three points and four goals managed to get the USA to Round IV.
