In my opinion this IP should be blocked. There is obviously some kind of proxy at work here and this makes it extremely difficult to assess whose contributions are valuable and whose should be prevented.

I propose to get rid of the proxy, forcing everyone to either edit from their own IP or create an account of their own. 80.190.240.126 11:25, 24 November 2005 (UTC)

We are all 80.190.240.126 ;) That's the site that hosts this Wiki. 80.190.240.126 11:??, 24 November 2005 (UTC)

I meant to say: We should not all be 80.190.240.126. I should be 131.211.xxx.xxx, my current IP ;-)

adding a persons full ip adress is not net safe... that said, if you register like you should your name will come up as the ediotr

True, but I don't really care about net-safety in that way: people who care can register like you say, but the simple fact is: Identification (which is necessary) and netsafety do not go hand in hand. Take a look at the italic text below:

This is the discussion page for an anonymous user who has not created an account yet or who does not use it. We therefore have to use the numerical IP address to identify him/her. Such an IP address can be shared by several users. If you are an anonymous user and feel that irrelevant comments have been directed at you, please create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other anonymous users.

This implies a preference of identification over netsafety. With the current solution this text is simply incorrect. Moreover, guess how wikipedia.org it self deals with this matter. Correct: full IP-addresses, as it should be.

User:Serafimul I agree that would be almost impossible to maintain a usable Wiki without assuming responsibility, either by real IP or by username.

the ideal situation would be that our hattrick account be linked to the wiki. but that could be alot of developing.
