Here's my talk page, where you can leave me messages by clicking on the little + button at the top of the page.

Much respect for the JMA page. --JMA

  • Thanks... I figured it was worth an article. -Catalyst 22:04:37, 2006-05-03 (UTC)

--Shyrlden 23:31, 28 November 2005 (UTC): sorry, but i think your links on the HT-diploma page are wrong. the goal of the test is that all differnt pages are checked by a user. If a task is "hire specalists" the link must be the "club page" with the "hire&fire buttons". the same for the other challenges (overview page, players page, economic page, match page etc.) just my 2cents

series naming conventions[edit]

Want to try to come up with a better convention for naming series in the US? Check out this page and you'll see what the problem is: category:USA Series

Problem is if you put US first, on the root category page everything gets sorted together. If you only put, for example, V.186, it's not distinguished from all the V.186s in various countries. How about "V.186_US"? Alternately, it could be "USA_V.186". The slash just kinda looks bad. The underscore I think is better because it gets interpreted as a space.

My preference: V.186_US. --Septimusjm 00:41, 1 December 2005 (UTC)

or maybe Y.123_(Country), like V.250 (USA).

I like that. It's neat and self-explanitory. --Septimusjm

Hi Catalyst,

I saw you making the following comment in an edit summary:

User pages belong on your, well, user page, unless you've done something notable
(ie won the Cup, made Div 1, held a NT position, etc

Does that mean that I, as current U20 Coach of Taiwan (Chinese Taipei) should have a 'normal' page? And if yes, what should I do with my User page?

Thanks in advance for your answer. --larsw84 17:41, 20 December 2005 (UTC)

Saw you put a redirect from USA/Regions to the category page. There's a wiki bug if you redirect TO a category page, so that the category page does not work correctly. I'm going to revert the page.--septimusjm

Not sure why it doesn't work, but there's an article about it here [1].

I saw you removed the "notable" tag from Split Perssonality -- is there a semi-official definition of "notable"? I figured SP's lineup strategy was interesting enough to earn the tag. --Mr Wednesday 16:15, 10 March 2006 (UTC)

I like the ultimate solution of a separate "themed" category, which seems to take care of things nicely. --Mr Wednesday 06:00, 16 March 2006 (UTC)

Non-English articles[edit]

Hi. Since you created the "Delete"-template, I wonder if we should create an "English"-template which we can slap on non-english articles that need to be translated? Or as a reminder that English is the language for HT Wiki. Something like "This page needs to be/should be translated into English in accordance ..." etc. WHat do you think? --Assyrian Master 05:30:36, 2006-05-14 (UTC)

Wiki admins[edit]

Please take a look at Hattrick:Administrators. --Mod-Hakerpaps 19:06, 2 October 2006 (UTC)

On your deservedly earned new admin status. I am now gradually getting the hang of this wiki lark & have been busy doing odds and bobs. Thanks for your initial help & brief wiki introduction. :-) --FFHF-Escafeld 18:15, November 2, 2006 (UTC)

Delete template[edit]

Should the delete template be of form {{Delete|10 2006}} as you used or {{Delete|10-2006}} as you wrote? - Jhattara

I come from Hong Kong, and I would like to translate the menu and some article(such as rules and newbie tips...) into Chinese, coz there is a trend of increasing in the number of users in Hattrick China, Hong Kong and Chinese Taipei.

Please tell me what I should do.

--Re: Re: Translating
I will start the project by only me after lunch today.
P.S. Should I use Traditional Chinese or simplified Chinese??

May I use hk, cn or tw as the link, cause I mainly make this for Hong Kong people. newmathsking 03:46, 1 February 2007 (UTC)

You added __NOTOC__ to the Zh/ page, is that mean no Contents above??

newmathsking 03:13, 3 February 2007 (UTC)

I find that the link which I have edited have hattrick_session=956c1c6a8487bf6f241a24ebae50a933 at the end of the link, what's the problem??

newmathsking 11:57, 4 February 2007 (UTC)

--Re: Re: Problem

It seems the problem is gone now!!

Protected pages (Language)[edit]

I think you should also protected this page please: Zh/

But will I be able to edit if you protect the page??

Cause I am the main editor of the Chinese Hattrick Wiki.

newmathsking 09:02, 15 March 2007 (UTC)

But I still have one problem: I have asked Jhattara if there should be Moderators in each language of Hattrick Wiki.

Jhattara said he/she has contact Tjecken of concerning the needs for Russian and Chinese speaking HT-wiki administrators.

Seems there is still no reply as Tjecken stop playing Hattrick (I read an article/talk page which said that), could you please help me to ask Tjecken again??

Ru template[edit]

Please look at Hattrick_talk:Other_Languages --aakholop 09:56, 15 March 2007 (UTC)

Re: ru template[edit]

Thanks for your answer, but it didn't answer to the main question. What is the purpose of marking all Russian pages with such templates (which adds articles to the specified category only?)? All Russian articles also have Ru/ prefix in their names. What are the concrete pluses of tagging them with one more indicator about their language? Thanks a lot.

Czech translation[edit]

Hello, could you unlock the Czech main page? :) We are interested in starting Czech version of the Hattrick Wiki... ;) Thanks, --MOMOOO 12:00, 21 March 2007 (UTC)

Latest Election results[edit]

Are you going to update the latest USA election results?

The Hebrew Wiki[edit]

There is also hattrick wiki in Hebrew named: "Wikattrick", here-

עברית (Hebrew)

I'll be glad if you will add it to the main page - thanks! You can contact me also in HTmail.

  • The main page links as of now are only for wikis which are located within the domain. I'm glad to hear that there is a Hebrew wiki, but I just don't think the main page is the proper place to put such a link. -Catalyst 23:41:44, 2007-05-11 (UTC)
  • We can move to YOUR wiki? Omer.
You can make Hebrew version of Hattrick wiki into folder He/. --Jhattara 07:31, 17 May 2007 (UTC)
  • How can we do that? Can you contact me in Email or in HTmail? Because It'll be great if we can build this wiki in you wikia. 12:30, 17 May 2007 (UTC)

Spanish Version[edit]

Template:Club question...[edit]

Could You change the default Template:Club to be more like wiki standard ? Take a look at this: Template:Infobox/Club - I have had just create this template and applied it on my site: Army.of.Darkness - does not it loos better then the oryginal one ?

Portuguese Youth League page[edit]

The Portuguese Youth League (Liga Portuguesa de Juniores, in portuguese, LPJ) is an unofficial competition of youth teams, that pretends to simulate the senior series organization. It has several divisions and info to be displayed. Currently it has a page in the ht-arena site, that belongs to the currenct main Administrator of the League, but that has several problems, mainly the dependency of that user, pedros, that is trying to leave the job. So, they want to create some site, mainly written in portuguese, where it would be easier to manage, editable by several people, etc. And I've thought about a Wiki, and this Hattrick Wiki in special.

I've searched for more info this, but found several problems:

  • the official page of this Wiki is mainly english, and also there are several pages in other languages, but not portuguese of Portugal;
  • it was intended to be restricted when constructing this site, and several pages will protected for editing, to avoid vandalism. Can this be possible, I mean, nominate 1 or 2 admins, but specially for that pages? I don't think so, but it would be nice that it could be.

Cheers, --BigsFC 17:04, 9 January 2008 (UTC)

The front page for Portuguese (Pt/) has been unprotected. To start editing the portuguese wiki looks for examples from other non-english versions. All articles should start with Pt/. All categories should start with Category:Pt/ All templates should start with Template:Pt/. All articles should be categorized under the category Portuguese Hattrick Wiki. --Jhattara 08:24, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
