Man we have a serieus saboteur at work. I see you have reverted quite some pages. He seems to change ip all the time. What is it that he inserts in those pages anyway? I can't see a thing untill I click edit, then a whole list of links and stuff appears. The poor bastard can't feed his children he claims. Do you know what it is?

Flag templates

Hi; I've changed the names of the Hattrick:Flag templates and also i've moved the content of "Hattrick:National team templates" to that page. I'm changing the links to get the "National team templates" deletable, but there is one under your user space (Special:Whatlinkshere?target=Hattrick:National_team_templates). --carlesmu 16:22, 3 October 2006 (UTC)

Yes, I know that I have to change the pages using them. I expect to change them in the next days. --carlesmu 06:06, 4 October 2006 (UTC)

Delete template

Sorry about the discrepancy... it should be {{Delete|11-2006}}. You may want to have a look at HT:ARD (which I just wrote) and add your input as well. -Catalyst 08:23:52, 2006-11-06 (UTC)

I didn't make the reverts because I think soccer should be used. To me, the terms are used interchangably on a global scale. I respect those in Sweden (what we call their country in America) by calling it by the local name of Sverige when I'm talking on a global forum, and I think that others should do the same. If an American writes soccer, especially when talking about an American who plays soccer (the Mod-Lytic page), then he should be able to without someone going through and replacing every instance of soccer with football. That is why I went through and made the reverts, because the original author chose to use soccer. -- Jake 19:04, 29 November 2006 (UTC)

He's got a point Jhattara. Europeans prefer to use the term football because in Europe football means one thing & one thing only, however we have to accept that to users in the US (& in other areas of the world where there are competing codes of football) then soccer may be a more culturally pertinent term of reference. It serves to differentiate it from other forms of football such as gridiron (or aussie rules).

--FFHF-Escafeld 22:43, November 29, 2006 (UTC)

I'd like to clarify that I don't intend to set a standard where every reference to the sport is changed to soccer or anything; I'm making the point that the original editor's terms should be kept. If the editor makes up a word or says the wrong thing (can instead of can't, should instead of will, etc) then it can be changed. But I think that if the original editor writes soccer, it should be left as soccer; and if the original editor writes football, it should be left as football. Or futbol. Or footie. -- Jake 16:32, 30 November 2006 (UTC)

I come from Hong Kong, and I would like to translate the menu and some article(such as rules and newbie tips...) into Chinese, coz there is a trend of increasing in the number of users in Hattrick China, Hong Kong and Chinese Taipei.

Please tell me what I should do.

newmathsking 23:44, 31 January 2007 (UTC)

May I use hk, cn or tw as the link, cause I mainly make this for Hong Kong people.

newmathsking 02:54, 1 February 2007 (UTC)

May I ask if I can use zh-yue, there is also zh-yue in Wikipedia

newmathsking 23:31, 1 February 2007 (UTC)

Zh is normal Chinese, mostly used in China and Chinese Taipei.

Zh-yue is Chinese also but in Cantonese, mostly used in Hong Kong and Guangdong (One of the China regions)

newmathsking 10:00, 2 February 2007 (UTC)
They are same language, but difference dialect, so difference in text(sometimes are the same).

Not just like 5-5-0, 5-5-0 is an article

newmathsking 10:03, 2 February 2007 (UTC)
For the tag, I will ad afer I have finish all the main articles.

"I see no reason for you not to use also Zh-yue/ folder." My english understanding is not really good, I want to ask the sentence above, do you mean that I can use Zh-yue/ folder??

newmathsking 10:13, 2 February 2007 (UTC)
Just after I read your message, I felt happy, but 10minutes later, I found that there is only me editing Chinese Wiki, if I have to translate two languages, I will waste lots of time!!

Maybe I will do the Zh-yue/ after I have find some helper.

1st Division League

May I change it back to 1st Division League (Hong Kong)??

Cause 1st Division League is a common name for the top series in quite a few of country!!

newmathsking 03:42, 3 February 2007 (UTC)

--Re: Re: 1st Division League

I thought it is the default name, then it is OK now!!

newmathsking 04:25, 5 February 2007 (UTC)

Re: Zh/Flag/ templates

I blanked them is just because there is no Chinese name for the country in Hattrick, I just want to change it back to English.

I am sorry.

newmathsking 09:58, 5 February 2007 (UTC)

OK, then I will now start to create more Chinese HT country page with User:Aurandon

newmathsking 10:11, 5 February 2007 (UTC)

I found the golden boot on the team page of the Hattrick Masters winner Hapoel Nahariya (340770).

Susande 17:16, 5 February 2007 (UTC)

canton is not a ht-country

The title show what you write as comment on your edit in my user page.

But I got to show you something:

Go to the bottom, and try the link of Hong Kong, it is already Cantonese Clubs as default.

Try other country's link, they all use their national language as prefix of their link, and Hong Kong people use contonese, so the default is right, so please don't change it back to Hong Kong clubs.

newmathsking 04:47, 7 February 2007 (UTC)

Re: Re: canton is not a ht-country

This time I got to explain the history of Hong Kong...

Hong Kong is part of China, Hong Kong people mostly come from the Guangdong province, in English, we call this province "Canton", the people from "Canton" is Cantonese!!

Therefore, Hong Kong people is also Cantonese, there is no word which describe Hong Kong, we don't use Chinese or we will make confusion, therefore, Cantonese is the only choice.

newmathsking 10:45, 7 February 2007 (UTC)

Re: Re: Re: canton is not a ht-country

I was wasting time to debate with you, cause I am wrong and you are right.

Then who is the first one to put Cantonese in the Hong Kong Team Category??

Match Report Template

There is one Exmaple of my match.

I create this template, and partly copy from Template:Match_report

I just want to ask if this can be used in the final of the World Cup, U-20 World Cup and Hattrick Master finals, I think it will be good eh.

p.s. Now the possession is still doen't look like the one in Hattrick, but similar.

newmathsking 02:09, 10 February 2007 (UTC)

Re: Re: Match Report Template

That's why I said World Cup, U-20 World Cup and Hattrick Master finals, just a few matches.

World Cup: 8Finals

U-20 World Cup: 8Finals

Hattrick Masters: 4Finals

Total: 20Finals

newmathsking 11:24, 10 February 2007 (UTC)

Re: Show preview

There is aa problem which I am going to show you:

At first, I have added(or delete) something on/from a page, then I save it.(For safety reason, won't lose my edits)

And then, I have to continue adding, after I save it, I found that the page only show my seconds edit, but the first edit are disappear.

Then, I added the stuff which I have added in the first edit, after saving, I show my 3rd edit(Also the first), but the 2nd edit lost.

That's why I have to edit so many time, I still don't know why it was happening... newmathsking 11:24, 10 February 2007 (UTC)

Regions of the Netherlands

Hi Jhattara! why did you deleted the words "Dutch overseas regions" in the Template:Regions Nederland? It was more clearly/specific than the current version, and after all, they are Dutch overseas regions. Greetings! Mavuba 22:42, 10 February 2007 (UTC)

Hi! I notice their is a lot of vandalism on this wiki. I think it should be a good idea to insert a captcha, like on HT clubhouses. Or instead of that captcha only let registered users edit the wiki. I don't think the last option is a good option, but it's better then this vandalism. I'm writing this in your talk because I see you delete spam or reverse vandalised pages a lot. Just my 2 cents. --Rob184 23:30, 12 February 2007 (UTC)

Complaining on User:Aurandon

Chinese version of U-20 World Cup I - Final

Aurandon added his own comments in chinese:

的姿態,狂數大洋洲7球,當中當時效力 Gunners AFC 的 Andreas Edvinsson 及己退休的 Ove Selén 均梅開二度,
   協助瑞典取得首屆 U-20 世界杯冠軍。以U-20國家隊來說,中場評級達神秘莫測實在極為難得。

I don't think it is objective, please tell him to put it to the Talk of U-20 World Cup I (Chinese version)

A little add, May you assign me to be the moderator of Chinese Hattrick Wiki?

I asked this because the 5 Admin don't know chinese(I think they don't, including you)

And you won't understand what the people add on the page, but I do.

I will reported my moderate to you every time I think I have to.

I know this is sudden and you will be 99.99% rejecting me, but I think a moderator for each language is needed, even in the Russian Hattrick Wiki need one.

newmathsking 10:31, 27 February 2007 (UTC)

Re: Re: Complaining on User:Aurandon The text:

A match with differnce level of teams, which make more than 50000 audience disappointed. Sweeden had 70% of the possession, controlling the whole match, bombed 7 goals to Oceania in a crazy way[1], in the match, both Andreas Edvinsson from Gunners AFC and Ove Selén who is retired scored two goals, helping Sweeden get the U-20 World Cup I. In U-20 teams, a midfield of supernatural is difficult to see.

Bold words are the words which I think it is not objective.

  1. ^  crazy way (a chinese phrase, which mean a stronger stuff beaten up a weaker stuff very crazy, I translated it to carzy way)

I can't see User:Tjecken's user page or talk page have anything, should I talk to him in Hattrick game message??

newmathsking 03:21, 28 February 2007 (UTC)

Great!! Thank you...

newmathsking 08:27, 28 February 2007 (UTC)

Unofficial National Champoionship

As I want to do this article for Hong Kong.

But I got a few question to ask.

1. Hong Kong was a region in China before it defined as a country in Hattrick World.

Then should I pick the match in China of the first two Hong Kong human player meet

First match since Hong Kong is defined as a country in HT World??

2. If the answer for last question is First match since Hong Kong is defined as a country in HT World

Then which match should I choose from if there are more than one matches playing at the same time??

The smaller MatchId??

(Just add the number after www same as the one that you see after you have logged in.)

P.S. Have you contact Aurandon about the personal comments on the U-20 World Cup page??

newmathsking 04:21, 12 March 2007 (UTC)

That's good, because HK best ever team is also one of the team in that match!!

newmathsking 03:17, 13 March 2007 (UTC)

Actually, all Russian editors can't find exact translation of these two terms. Some Russian HT users just use the russian spelling of english terms like Автопромоушен(Auto-promotion) and Скиллтрейдинг(for Skill trading). So it was decided not to translate these terms since the exact translation would be found. --aakholop 10:00, 22 March 2007 (UTC)

What for? I think it's more correct to leave them in English, as now --aakholop 10:07, 22 March 2007 (UTC)

Ok, I'll try to find the correct version for all articles with English names. I hope, I'll do it today. --aakholop 10:13, 22 March 2007 (UTC) BTW, we are not planning to translate names of Federations, for example, so, there will be two (or even more) alphabets anyway! --aakholop 10:19, 22 March 2007 (UTC)

That's me again :) Some terms like Clubhouse aren't translated to Russian even in HT. What do you prefer: to translate them in wiki anyway, or to leave their English name? --aakholop 10:34, 22 March 2007 (UTC)

So, you see, it's impossible to get rid of English terms in Russian wiki :( --aakholop 10:38, 22 March 2007 (UTC)

Re:Empty pages

I am sorry that I don't know the code(template) for deleted page.

Category: Administrators

Ahh, I must have had a brain lapse while going through those! Sorry about that --SassineFC 14:18, 30 March 2007 (UTC)

As you have noticed i've been working on categorizing all the current pages and am finally finished! I've added a category (Category:Miscellaneous) that contains a handful of articles that I couldn't determine an appropriate category but may not be candidates for deletion (a big may).--SassineFC 19:39, 30 March 2007 (UTC)

Russian administrator?

Will there be any Russian administrator in wiki? %) --aakholop 08:52, 2 April 2007 (UTC)

--I asked HT-Tjecken in game message two weeks ago, I told him that I am the one who mainly edit Chinese page, and I want to be the Chinese HT Wiki moderator. Around 7-9days later, he replyied and now I am one of the administrators, I think you may ask HT-Tjecken in game message as well. newmathsking 09:27, 7 April 2007 (UTC)

Protecting page

I want to protect my team page in Hattrick Wiki: Team:DDT Mathematics United

Will that violate the rule of Administrator?? Cause I don't want the other to edit my team page.

newmathsking 09:27, 7 April 2007 (UTC)

Alright then!!newmathsking 04:24, 8 April 2007 (UTC)

Cyrillic tooltips?

I've just noticed that the tooltips for everything in the navigation toolbar on the side and the article toolbar on the top are in Cyrillic for me. Is something from the Russian side spilling over accidentally? --Mr Wednesday 19:41, 24 April 2007 (UTC)

I'm using Firefox in Linux. If I hover my mouse pointer over one of the tabs on a page (say, the discussion tab on this page), I get a tooltip in Cyrillic. As I've noted in a separate reply to Aakholop, I checked my preferences and my language is set to English. I didn't find any other settings that looked like they control this. --Mr Wednesday 17:45, 25 April 2007 (UTC)

You can change it in your preferences("настройки" in Russian). --aakholop 07:54, 25 April 2007 (UTC)

Is there any progress with wiki domains?

Ok, I've sent you and HTmail before you contacted me, so you might better see it. The articles also need to be He/?

I will. How should I call the subcategories?

Can you stop with reverting my page? I don't want more to put my team into Hattrick Wiki, then delete articles of my team and don't revert them! If you revert, you will never got a rest, because I will delete it every! Thank for your help! See ya!

Team page

OK! I understand your position! Your intention is good! Okay then, keep the page in HT-wiki. But, why you delete the players data from the Bruno Bezzera and keep of the other players? Thanks!

Team page 2

Is very good that team page is proteceted, so the data will be very "refreshed"! But, if more, don't apper vandalism! ^^ Good to make a team memory forever!

If then, those players are remarkable? Hamilton Ouriques Wilger van Voorst tot Voorst Axel Hiddink Doeke Koops Erä-Jorma Ahoniemi Gurukovindam Balakrishnan Hinko van Lannoy Jim Laponder Johnny Veltkamp Julian Engelgeer Machiel Droge Marin Kostov User:-Cyclops-/Mats Engin Michiel Hecht User:Wyatt/Peter Wyatt Quint van Zoggel Steve Morris Zdenko Štencl

If you deleted Bruno Bezerra, why you don't delete those very remarkable players? And, another question: Why delete the data from the players? If all players have an article, the hattrick wiki will be very complete. And can separate the players for each country, like the teams.

Santos Coritiba

What is harsher measures? I want to know! And protect or unprotect the page, the chose is yours. I don't delete the data again, but I will edit it in my proposal and at my time or you will edit it for me. OK? Thanks for your discussion, I was angry because you have deleted the Bruno Bezerra's data whithout discusion with me and in the page. Thanks again!

Thanks for your explanation, the "subfolders" players, can be in the HT Wiki? This is strange, but cool. Excuse me if I get you in trouble. But, congratulations for your work!

Navigation sidebar

How can we correct links in the left navigation sidebar in Russian wiki? Is it possible? --Oravetlan 10:05, 11 June 2007 (UTC)

PT-BR is brazilian portuguese. Like HT. There are any changes when portugal.

I think this template have to be protected.

User:Aurandon added "Youth Squad" and changed my team and his team code...only.

And other team (99% of them) come up with the code [[{{{youthsquad}}}]], so I reverted it.

But I can see lots of people changing the page before, therefore I protected the page.

If you think it need to be unprotected, please tell me in my talk page.

Is this counted as an ads??

Only one of the board in is about hattrick.

US Marshals

You're gonna have to sit tight and give others a chance to add to it. Or you can go to non-HT-USA and study up for yourself. I don't have the time atm to do more myself. This weekend if others haven't done so by then.

I'm doing a little now. Btw, you could probably delete some of the comments on your user talk page. --septimusjm 16:08, 27 July 2007 (UTC)
