Voorruit Vooruit is a fairly old Dutch club in Hattrick, founded in 2003, with few achievements worth mentioning. Since 2010 the club has an all home-grown senior team. The club wants to be competitive on the highest level possible, only using players raised from the own youth squad and trained in the own senior team.

History

In May 2003 (season 8) Voorruit Vooruit was founded as S.V. Zuidzande. On December 26th 2005 (end of season 16) it was renamed Voorruit Vooruit, (lit. Windscreen Go Ahead). It was a club like any other. Between 2003 an 2007 it climbed from division VII to division V and had two good cup runs, reaching rounds 8 and 7. In 2007 the manager was transferring less and less, the last transfer was made in December 2007. After that, the manager developed an apathy of the transfer market, the squad was getting older and older and by the summer of 2010 (season 31) all but 2 players were over 30. Because of the decline of the players, results were dropping.

Apathy of the transfer market by the manager remained, so he made a plan to revive the squad with youth players only. Some local boys were added to the team quickly in the summer of 2010. On September 30th 2010 the youth club Voorruit Met De Geit was founded. The literal translation of the name is 'Windscreen With The Goat', a pun based on a Dutch expression, which literally translates as 'go ahead with the goat'. This youth club supplies Voorruit Vooruit with all its players. A very long term trainig plan was set up, so freshly promoted players fit in the training schedule and are trained until they are good enough to play official matches for the first team.

Meanwhile results for the senior team hit rock bottom with all losses except for 2 and 1 wins respectively in seasons 32 and 33. This meant relegation to division VIII. After the promotion of the first properly trained home grown players to the senior team in season 33 (January 2011), the strength of the team started to increase gradually because of the long term training plan. In season 39 the quality started to show and a promotion to division VII followed. Both player quality and results are expected to keep on increasing and the long term goal is to be competitive again on the highest level possible. This is expected to be division V, maybe division IV if the team is managed very well. At the time of writing (April 2013) the club only fields home-grown players and hasn't had any incoming transfer for over 5 years.
