Press announcement 2018-11-01

Francesco 'Superfranco' Totti is the most influential player in McAcademy's history. But the day has come to call it quits for the legend.

In the 72 minute of yesterdays "friendly" game against the eternal rival A.C. Bananas, Francesco was hit by a career ending injury - at the age of 40.

'Superfranco' in the locker room after the game: "Maledetto tempo... Per sempre forza Roma! Bananas buffoni!"

13 seasons, 205 games played in Maccie D's - and 74 goals scored in his career. Totti's flamboyant midfield play will always be missed at Stadio Royale with Cheese.

His career's most important and most beautiful goal was the magical late equaliser in the Stockholm derby against the triple champ's Prinskorv FC in Sverigecupen, season 61 Ht star.png

But the time in Giallorossi is not over. Francesco has already taken his seat on the bench as the new assistant coach and his career will always be remembered in McA's hall of fame.

In bocca al lupo.

Jakob 'Schumi' Schwab Ht star.png

Press announcement 2018-05-25

On Friday McAcademy presented a brand new look when the new team kit's were revealed. At home McA are sporting the classic red and yellow, but this time in a retro striped shirt together with white shorts and red socks. White is the way to go away from home with two horizontally broader stripes in red and yellow. The shorts and socks for the away kit? You guessed right. Red and yellow.

During the presentation the ex captain Jakob 'Schumi' Schwab announced his retirement as a player. The Austrian workhorse spent close to twelve seasons in the club and played 182 games. Now he's entering the Maccie D hall of fame and he will shortly start his new career as a referee.

"Watch out, if you don't behave on the pitch i will show cards in the same colors as this beautiful shirt! Thank you for all these years. I will always be red and yellow", said Schwab before he left the McA stage for the last time.

Press announcement 2017-08-25

From the bullfighting arenas in Pamplona to Stadio Royale with Cheese in Stockholm. Tedo ‘El Matador’ Porras Rubio went from one home to another. The former bullfighter became a mainstay in the McAcademy defence during his 13 seasons in the club, but every good thing in life must unfortunately come to an end. We are proud to welcome Porras Rubio into the McA hall of fame and excited to announce him as the new junior team coach.

Porras Rubio:

"I was hoping that I’ve never had to stop play. But the time has come. Maledetto tempo... Fighting bulls and forwards have been my two favourite things in life. But when the body says stop, It's time to stop. Now I look ahead and I'm honoured to be the new junior team coach. Have faith in me and my tracksuit, I'm going to lead the Happy Meals to glory in the junior league!"

Pedro 'Señor Gol' Villamarín Ht star.png

Press announcement 2016-09-08

There was only one way for Pedro 'Señor Gol' Villamarín, top scorer in McAcademy, to end his career. With a bang. Two goals in 15 minutes against A.C. Bananas, Villamarín proved his worth one last time in the 5-4 victory during the Wednesday friendly. 'Señor Gol' is McA's top scorer with 105 goals in competition games and he was team captain between seasons 53-60. Now he has a spot in the McA hall of fame.

Villamarín:

"To score two goals in my last game, against our archrivals, and wearing the captain armband was a perfect end to my career. I couldn't ask for more. I have worn the McA colours with pride for ten seasons, but now it's time for me to move on in my life. My love for food in general and paella in particular made my next step easy, I have opened a paella restaurant, named "Señor Paella", close to the Stadio Royale with Cheese. Members of The Che Clown's gets a discount on game days. Bienvenido!"

Hernán 'The Wall' Miras Ht star.png

McAmiraslegend.png

Press announcement 2016-01-31

McAcademy ended season 60 with a 4-0 win against Gustafs Goif. In the 75 minute the faithful servant Hernán 'The Wall' Miras entered the pitch for the last time. The 38 year old Argentine, who spent seven seasons in McA both as a coach and central defender, is now retiring. We want to thank Hernán for his contributions and welcomes him into the Maccie D hall of fame as the second legend in the clubs history.

Miras:

"Muchas gracias, Stockholm and McAcademy. It has been a pleasure to represent McA both on the pitch and on the bench. Now I'm moving back to Buenos Aires to pursue my acting career. I recently signed a contract with the Argentine telenovela Dr. Amor. So next time you feel lovesick, turn on the TV and let me cure you."

Danilo 'Il Grande' Trovato Ht star.png

Trovato.png

Press announcement 2014-09-28

McAcademy's Sunday 7-0 win against Stjärnskotten was a special day. During the break, Danilo 'Il Grande' Trovato, 40, was celebrated as the first ever Maccie D legend since the founding 2013-09-05.

Trovato:

"Thank you for this Grande experience. As you know I have two passions in my life, journalism and Torino F.C. And my future will be bright. Tomorrow I'm returning to Torino and starting my new career as a sportswriter for La Gazzetta dello Sport. I will remember the Superga air disaster, where Il Grande Torino died, every day. The rest of my life. Grazie Valentino. Grazie amici. Noi non dimenticheremo. "

Danilo played his last game this week, a friendly against FC Vallbyheden and he was honored wearing both the captain armband and the number one jersey.

As a celebration to Danilo's long career, McAcademy will retire jersey number one. Because there is only one.

God and inspiration

Francesco 'Il Capitano' Totti. [1]

Press announcement 2014-10-01

One of McAcademy's latest signings, the Rome born Francesco 'Superfranco' Scolozzi Ht star.png will change his name to Francesco Totti.

McAtotti.png

'Superfranco' bleeds for AS Roma and 'Il Capitano' has always been his one and only hero, Messias and God.

Francesco 'Superfranco' Scolozzi (now Francesco 'Superfranco' Totti):

"I can't believe my luck! Now I can die happy. Having the opportunity to be at Etihad Stadium when our dear Francesco, once and for all, silences all doubters on English soil, at the world's largest competition. Champions League. 38 years old. Oldest ever. Youngest ever. The best ever. The most good looking ever. Grazie, Capitano. Per tutti. Per sempre. Now he's immortal for real. In a global perspective. Now I'm looking forward to return to Stockholm and my teammates and prepare for Sunday's game. Hopefully it won't take to long before they remember my new name."
