Season Synopsis

Stadium

The Red Star Brussels stadium, the Leon Trotski Arena, was enlarged before the start of the season to accomodate 40.000 supporters. No further enlargements were foreseen.

Season Summary

The ambition of the team this season still was to focus on training new players for the first team. Results were secondary. training of future stars Will de Schietere and Tim Grauls, who arrived in the team last season, was a crucial part of the plan. The ambition for the team was to end in the top-3. The team played most of the season at the second or third position. KVC Wingene, who relegated to VI.580 from the fifth division, appeared too strong for Red Star Brussels: they lost both the away and home games with 6-0 and 2-6 respectively. Against fc de jupilar zuipers, the team was more successful: they beat them 1-6 away, and 7-2 aat home, making Red Star Brussels ending up second in their division.

In the Belgium Cup, no specific ambitions were formulated. The team reached the fourth round, in which it lost against Maximus Olympus.
