FC Drakkar is a Hattrick soccer team from the USA founded in season 25. Drakkar played in USA's VI.176, V.206 and IV.49 over seven seasons and now resides in III.8. Originally named the Waves, the franchise was renamed FC Drakkar, in season 26, after the Viking longboats that terrorized Europe and beyond. In season 27, Auðun was adopted as the official Drakkar mascot.

History

  • Season 36:

In their third season in Series III, FC Drakkar fell short of the title once again, but still put up an impressive 10-1-3 record and a second place finish. Striker Tang Seong Shin logged 21 goals and was name the club MVP. The real highlight of the season was a fantastic cup run that lasted 11 rounds. Ata sold out Valhalla Arena, Drakkar lost in a trilling game to eventual cup champions Rushmore FC. Down 3-0 at half-time, Drakkar scored three goals in the space of two minutes to tie the game before giving up two late goals and losing 5-3. The long cup run, meant flag collecting was quite limited, but Drakkar did manage trips to Columbia, Syria and Slovakia and the Juniors completed their 16-stop tour of Germany.

  • Season 35:

In the second season in Series III, FC Drakkar fell short of the title, but still put up an impressive 11-0-3 record and a second place finish. Winger Malcom Isom, with 9 goals, and keeper Daniel Penn, with 9 clean sheets, were named club co-MVP’s. In the cup, Drakkar put together a nice run until round 7 when they lost 4-2 to Series IV outfit, Old Town Tavern. In additionally, FC Drakkar captured its 100 flag for visiting other countries for international friendlies. Drakkar finished the season with 105 flags.

  • Season 34:

In their first season in Series III, FC Drakkar produced a 9-1-4 season and a third place finish. Striker James Lyons was named the club MVP, scoring a total of 24 goals. Drakkar really excelled in the cup, advancing all the way to round 8 before losing a overtime heartbreaker to Styles City. Additionally, the new youth academy did well on the pitch and began producing talented youngster (including Bruno Cornejo who sold for a club record $425k).

  • Season 33:

In only their second season in Series IV, FC Drakkar managed 12 wins on route to winning the series for the second straight year. The club scored 80 goals including a league leading 19 strikes from club MVP Tang Seong Shin. In the cup, Drakkar put together a run into the sixth round including four shut out victories. They eventually lost to final-16 participant Bonita Bombers. Valhalla arena was expanded to 85,000 seats and sold out on the last home match of season.

  • Season 32:

In the first season under Coach Mccracken, Drakkar managed to win the league in their inaugural season in Series IV. Drakkar posted eleven wins, eight in a row to close out the league schedule and take the series title on goal differential. They scored an impressive 86 league goals, before coming up short in the Series III qualifier 4-3. In the cup, Drakkar managed a club best four wins before a round 5 exit to Captain Jack. Striker, Eldon Keeler was named club MVP and led the series with 16 league goals and the team in with 23 total goals.

  • Season 31:

Drakkar broke through in their fourth season in Series V, winning all but one match and auto-promoting to Series IV. Drakkar scored a whopping 91 goals and posted a +76 goal differential. Drakkar lost an injured-plagued heart-breaking in the third round of the cup, a road match they probably shouldn't have won anyway. Striker, Agapito Fuente was named team MVP and led the series with 20 league goals and the team in with 25 total goals. Head coach Aceng Jainal moved one to green pastures, after leading to Drakkar to 2 series champions, 2 promotions and 50 total league victories over 5 1/2 seasons at the helm.

  • Season 30:

Drakkar plateaud in their third season in Series V, again finishing in second behind the Nomads. Drakkar posted only 8 wins and a draw, but improved their goal differential to +19. Season 30 did however see the best Drakkar cup run ever. Drakkar advanced to the fourth round of the USA Cup with three dominating road victories before losing to the Southern Union FC. Offensive midfielders, Wienus Keeman and Raul Mateus, were named team Co-MVP’s and veteran newcomer Agapito Fuente led the team in scoring with 8 goals.

  • Season 29:

Drakkar improved a lot in its second season in Series V finishing in second place. Drakkar posted 10 wins, a +10 goal differential and challenged for the title up until the last day. Inroads were made in the USA Cup also, as Drakkar advanced to the third round of the cup with two lop-sided victories before succumbing to the SF Celtic. Wienus Keeman, offensive midfielder was named team MVP.

  • Season 28:

It was FC Drakkar’s first season in Series V and they fluctuated between fourth and seventh before finishing fifth and then destroying the San Francisco Gladiators in a qualifier match to remain in Series V.206. In their second appearance in the USA Cup Drakkar again managed a victory in the first round, before existing in round two. The team MVP was defender & set piece specialist John Tucker.

  • Season 27:

FC Drakkar carried a flawless record into the last match of the season, but lost to Franksody to spoil the perfect season. However, they still auto-promoted to Series V and Kevin Ley was the leading scorer in Series VI.176. It was Drakkar's first appearance in the USA Cup and they managed a win and advanced to the second round. The team MVP was striker Kevin Ley.

  • Season 26:

In Drakkar’s first full season of action, they managed mixed results, winning just a few more than they lost. None the less, a fourth place finish suggested that positive things were happening. At the end of the season, coach Makaay was sacked and Aceng Jainal was brought in to better develop the younger players. The team MVP was defender Ed Hensley.

  • Season 25:

New management took over with just three matches left in the season. The Waves managed to win one of those final three matches and finished seventh. After the season, the team was renamed FC Drakkar. The team co-MVP's were Ed Van Booven & Ed Hensley.
