Season 95–: Founding and first steps
Main article: Season 95
The Waterspouts were founded on August 13, 2026, taking over the V.156 place previously held by The Squeezes with three rounds of Season 95 already played. The Squeezes had taken four points from those games: a draw with Ismal Fc, a 0–5 loss at RF10 United and a 2–1 win over Free Ballers 2.
In its opening weeks, the club established the Tampa Bay Squalls academy with 18 youth players. Six scouted players joined the senior squad between August 23 and August 31, while four transfers between August and October added experience.
The first weeks were hard. The new club went seven rounds without a win, including a 0–6 loss at Iowa Barnstormers and a 1–6 loss at home to the same side. The fans kept coming anyway: Maelstrom Park sold out all 12,000 seats against Frothingham, Big Grove and Iowa, and again for RF10 United in October.

Tampa Bay Waterspouts is an American club based in Florida, playing in Series V.156. The club was founded by jsg04 on August 13, 2026, taking over the V.156 place previously held by The Squeezes. It plays its home matches at Maelstrom Park, and its youth academy is the Tampa Bay Squalls.
The turnaround came in October. A 3–0 win over Puerto Rico Panthers in round 11 was the club's first league win, and a 3–1 win away at Free Ballers 2 followed a week later. The league campaign ended with a 2–1 win at Ismal Fc. That made three wins from the last four rounds and a fifth-place finish on 15 points. The Stormwatch, whose members had started the season expecting that "every day in this division is a bonus", ended it dancing in the streets.

Identity
Behind it all was Jalen LaChapelle. The first-choice keeper played 10 of the 11 league games, was named Man of the Match five times and kept both of the club's clean sheets. At the other end, the unlikely hero was Darrion Craig. The 18-year-old center-back finished as the club's leading league scorer with four goals.
A waterspout is the storm that forms over open water. On Tampa Bay you watch them roll in on summer afternoons, and that's the idea behind the club: start small and gather strength. The youth academy, the Squalls, carries the theme down to the next generation. The fans are the Stormwatch, and the team plays at Maelstrom Park.

The club colours are navy, teal and gold: deep water, the spout, and the late-afternoon light on the bay.
Away from the league, the club entered the Heroes of 2026 Trophy and finished with five wins and three losses. It also climbed three ladders, reaching the top 40 of the Florida ladder.

* Crest: the Storm Shield. A teal waterspout rises out of the waves inside a navy shield with a gold border, with a ball caught in the top of the spout. "Tampa Bay" runs across the top, "Waterspouts" across a gold band, and the founding year, 2026, sits at the bottom.
Season-by-season
* Home kit: navy shirt with teal storm streaks cutting diagonally across the front, gold numbers, and navy shorts and socks with teal trim.
{| class="wikitable" style="text-align:center;"
* Away kit: white and teal stripes split by navy and gold pinstripes, with white shorts and socks.

The turnaround came in October. A 3–0 win over Puerto Rico Panthers in round 11 was the club's first league win, and a 3–1 win away at Free Ballers 2 followed a week later. The season ended with a 2–1 win at Ismal Fc. That made three wins from the last four rounds and a fifth-place finish on 15 points. The Stormwatch, whose 868 members had started the season expecting that "every day in this division is a bonus", ended it dancing in the streets.
The Tampa Bay Squalls are the club's pathway to the first team, and play their home games at Squall Field (600). In the 2026–27 youth league season they took their first point on October 25, a 1–1 draw with Sporting Treno.

The unlikely hero was Darrion Craig. The 18-year-old centre-back started in defence all season and still finished as the club's top league scorer with four goals.

Off the pitch, the club entered the Heroes of 2026 Trophy and finished with five wins and three losses. It also climbed three ladders, reaching the top 40 of the Florida ladder.

Tampa Bay Waterspouts is an American Hattrick club based in Florida that plays in Series V.156. The club was founded by jsg04 on August 13, 2026, and plays its home games at Maelstrom Park. The team colors are navy, teal and gold, and the youth academy is the Tampa Bay Squalls. The club motto is From the Bay. Into the Storm.

History

Away from the league, the club entered the Heroes of 2026 Trophy and finished with five wins and three losses. It also climbed three ladders, reaching the top 40 of the Florida ladder.
