Big Apple FC is a club in the USA, based in New York City. It was founded on 24 May 2023.

History

Early Seasons

Big Apple FC debuted in Series VI.40, with 3 games remaining in Season 84. The team won each game with a 3–0 scoreline and finished the season in second place.

The club began its first full season losing two of the opening 3 league games. Second round eliminations from the US Open Cup and the Apollo Cup soon followed. Despite the shaky start, Big Apple went on to clinch the league title after a winning streak which consisted of 11 matches and 43 unanswered goals. The season also saw Eero Törhönen winning the Golden Boot with 8 goals.

First Promotion and Later Seasons

After securing automatic promotion from the sixth division, Big Apple joined Series V.28 where they were considered strong relegation candidates. On 14 January 2024, with one match left in Season 86, the club secured a 2nd-place finish in its first season in Division 5.

On 21 April 2024, the club drew 1–1 with Beitar Los Angeles, followed by a 4–4 draw with New York Lions on 28 April. These draws effectively ended Big Apple's title hopes for Season 87 as the club finished in 3rd place.

The following season, Big Apple won the V.28 Series title, but lost 0–4 to Then We Take Berlin in the Qualification match.

On 15 December 2024, the club once again won the V.28 Series title after beating LOB CITY 4–0. The championship was secured with a 6-point lead over 2nd-place New York Lions and one game left in the season. Big Apple finished the season winning all 14 league games and only conceding two goals, both coming in the last game of the season in a 4–2 away win against New York Lions. Chilean winger Menéndez Lauwerens won the Golden Boot with 14 goals.

Second Promotion

In season 90, Big Apple FC were promoted to Series IV.52 after spending four seasons in the fifth division. Their first match in the series was a 1–1 away draw against Galactic Colts. On the final match of the season, the club secured a 4th-place finish and avoided potential relegation. Simon Sorongo scored both goals in a 2–1 win over Galactic Colts. On 2 May 2025, days before the beginning of season 91, Big Apple hired a new coach, 45-year-old Onofre Reyes from Chile. After a poor start with 2 wins in 8 games, Big Apple purchased Norwegian midfielder Jan Gjerde in hopes of avoiding automatic relegation.

Youth Team

On 2 October 2023, Big Apple FC started its youth team, called Big Apple FC U-17s. The youth team joined the national league called Campeon de Ascenso.

On 12 December 2023, The youth team scouted and signed Jonny Haji Asgharzadeh, the son of former First Team's manager, Mohammad Pouria. On 24 March 2024, he was promoted to the First Team.
